Looks like a great apartment, I like the shelves down the centre and the small door into the bedroom. I think it was a great idea buying an old apartment and renovating it, especially when buying new is so expensive. It gave them the freedom to make the space their own. The cat also looked to be enjoying life there

I LOVE books. They make me happy. Being surrounded by books as an introvert is about all I can take of company of other people. However, having over 1000 books at one time, it was really tough to clean the dust off of the shelves and the binding... you have to actually move or lift the books in order to clean the shelf properly and it was just too much work especially for books in higher shelves. i absolutely love this woman's personality.

I am so obsessed with the luxury apartments and homes from the likes of Alicia Keys (stunning house) and Athena Calderone (most gorgeous interior design) but I realised just now that these homes, while gorgeous and absolutely perfect, homes like these from the beautifu, sweet Azumi Kubota have something special: soul. It's the unique character of places like these where you completely see the character of the ones living there that makes it the most gorgeous thing.

I would like to see the floor plan of this apartment to understand how rational the layout is, but it seems to me that there is a crazy amount of open shelves - dust collectors.

I would just be too terrified to own a lot of possessions in Japan, especially in tall shelves and cabinets for when the earthquakes come. I suppose it makes no difference if the concrete crushes you or the books, but it still feels like staring at your death everyday, far too grim.

Our casita is surrounded by keyboards piano guitars electric y acoustic ukuleles harps etc…my kids started to own exotic fancy dogs… my daughter married a Japanese attorney y my sons married microbiologist Chinese y the other is Caucasian lol…but none can sing just me omG…I used to have a dig y cat y my other daughter a pit bull…my son buys books y sells at Amazon…they had read thousands of pages of books growing up…still have it…they bought their own fancy casas …y pets 😢
