It is better to understand Danish, not speak it as most Danes know English and can speak it well. If you understand it, then you can tell what they are saying on this stuff. Recognizing the words is helpful too. Trying to pronounce it, is very very difficult. It isn't spoken the way it looks written. Better to understand the words spoken, than to try to speak them.

I completely agree. Learning how to pronounce the language is so difficult. But since learning it, I can understand most of what they are saying. Which definitely helps.
