Saw these guys open for Metallica on the Death Magnetic tour. They were the first opening act, and when they started playing the crowd was still flowing in, folks were buying their T-shirts, etc. When they started, everybody looked up, and stampeded into the arena. They kicked @$$! Lamb of God had one freakin' tough act to follow that night.

I find it more likely that one of volbeats members heard the nickleback track and without even realizing it regurgitated it into a new song. Also keep in mind that sampling of or borrowing aspects of other songs is a very common aspect in the industry Especially in hiphop and pop. I don’t think it should be forbidden to do the same in rock. Although maybe a bit more taboo. This song changes it up enough to feel and work as a whole new product in my opinion. I agree that it’s not rock and roll hall of fame worthy, but plagiarism? Idk man. I’ve accidentally stolen progressions from other songs hundreds of times while writing. And sometimes without even realizing.

This one of those bands that somehow have slipped under my radar, only started listening to them recently. I think to classify them only as a 'metal band' would be a bit unfair, as I think they are much more than that as I can hear a fusion of metal, punk rock and old school rock 'n roll in many of their songs.
