Thanks! That Looper is full of effects, so the possibilities are endless :) Also, I used a Roland Octapad for the beat. Track one has the Darbuka (a type of Mid eastern drum) and track 2 has Snare and Bass Drum.

Had my eye on one of those 202's or 505's for a while! Cheers for the info!

If I can add my two cents here... I bought a 202 and I love it, but I regret not having bought a 505 (For the 3 added tracks) But I guess that's part of the experience lol :)

Hmm, a few people have said that, very useful to know, thanks for the tip! Anyways, sounding pretty ace with the 202 so I guess yr good for now!

Thanks a lot for your video! How did you manage to keep the RC-202 from stopping the Volca ? Every time I play/stop on the RC-202 it plays and stops the sequencer...
@roxtonfone35103 жыл бұрын
Really good question. I don't remember for sure, but there is a cable (red) going into the MIDI input of the RC202. I might of had a machine running (off screen) to make the RC202 a slave. Maybe that has an influence on the stop button. I would have to replicate this setup to be sure but it's all I've got for now.. hope it helps :)

@@roxtonfone3510 Loved your jam! I am also looking at a similar set up and would love to know if I will need extra kit to get it working. I just need the clock to sync so I can add loops that are in time with a Volca Beats. Would be gutted if I buy everything and RC-202 makes the beat stop whenever I stop a loop. :S
@roxtonfone35103 жыл бұрын
@@oceansyes Hello! Thanks for writing :) Unfortunately it does! The RC-202 does in fact stop the volca if you press its STOP button. START makes it go again. It is annoying! There is no "clock only" output on the RC202 just a full feature MIDI out 5 pin connector. Now I did get around this in this video (I've checked closely) but I can't remember for sure HOW I did it. I think I used a Roland Octapad as nothing more than a Master (just running some empty loop at the right tempo) and I think this causes the RC202 to be a slave and that makes it stop sending its STOP/START signals.. (Still sends clock though) I hope this clears things up :)
@oceansyes3 жыл бұрын
@@roxtonfone3510 thank you so much for the reply, you are an absolute legend for helping me! So now I'm wondering if a Disaster Area Micro.Clock (or similar) could do what your Roland Octopad was doing in your set-up. Or alternatively, if I could use the Micro.Clock to set the tempo of both units. I am new to all this and not sure how to figure it out without making some expensive mistakes!
@roxtonfone35103 жыл бұрын
@@oceansyes Thanks for the kind word! I'm happy to help :) However, I'm recalling what I did in this video from memory and I hope I don't give inaccurate advice. That being said, I've looked at the Area Micro pedal on Google and cannot say if this will effectively put the RC202 in slave mode or not. It might, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Nice tunes man! Do you have the volca and the looper synced together through midi?
@roxtonfone35103 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, they are in fact MIDI synched. RC-202 is the master, Volca is slave.
@opusunum3 жыл бұрын
@@roxtonfone3510 dude that’s what I thought! But How do you sync them? I have the boss 505 and I’m trying to sync the volca mix,keys,fm and sample to slave to the 505 I can’t figure it out.bro, I’m pulling my hair out. Lol!
@roxtonfone35103 жыл бұрын
@@opusunum I own Volca beats and bass and neither can ever be masters. They only have one MIDI connector and it's a MIDI "in". For anything to be a master it needs a MIDI "out". I've come to the conclusion that no Volca has that "out" connector.. I don't know of any workaround..
@roxtonfone35103 жыл бұрын
@@opusunum Re-reading your comment this morning, I think I misunderstood. 505 = Master right? So you can use MIDI cable for any one of your Volcas and then the little sync cables for the other volcas. (Only one will trully be slave, the others will just be synched in time, but won't receive start/stop or note signals.

@@roxtonfone3510there's an easy solderless modkit available. You need to drill a hole

Are you reamping the volca down from line level?
@roxtonfone35105 жыл бұрын
Not in this case, no. The Volca's output is connected directly to the front (left side) connector of the RC-202 looper, which is a line-in input.
@saluddiaz5 жыл бұрын
Im wondering, did you have some stuff pre recorded on the Rc-202?
@roxtonfone35105 жыл бұрын
Yes, all the drum you hear sits on the RC202 and was pre-recorded. Loop 1 has some percussion, and loop 2 has the actual drum beat. I used the Roland octopad to record before shooting the video.
@saluddiaz5 жыл бұрын
great! thanks, a question, does the RC-202 comes with pre recorded drums, samples, etc? how to access them in case it is true? I have the RC-202 but haven't used yet, thanks!@@roxtonfone3510
@roxtonfone35105 жыл бұрын
@@saluddiaz Hi Sandro, no the rc202 has nothing on it, except for some very simple drum beats. Those are meant to be used like a metronome would be, you know to help you record your loops

quick question, how do you record the audio? I have the Arturia AudioFuse and all my devices connected to it, I would like to be DAW less most of the times, so Im trying to figure it out how to record the multitrack audio without a computer, thanks!@@roxtonfone3510

What is the maximum space of recording on this device? Is this same as the 505?
@tropicalplantguy3 жыл бұрын
I think it's max 3hrs in one loop? Something like that.
