A masterclass in minimalism, my musical background makes this very dificult for me to do well but i absolutely love what youve done here. Kinda like how its easier to play fast on drums than slow and do it well. Very inspiring work, you make the vkeys sing and prove that less can be more. Awesome

I absolutely adore this sort of minimalistic "berlin school" type sequencer composition, but actually composing like this has always escaped me. You nailed it ! I watched this whole video to watch "over your shoulder" to see the details of how you did this. Thankyou for sharing

Also a very nice wooden box for the Korg Volca Keys and plants what makes all more... organic 😀Is this wooden box self builded? Just curious...

Hi, bruo. How are you using the Tascam DR 05 on that set? Congrats!
@trikOsk5 ай бұрын
Hi mate! I connect the Volca to NTS's audio input, and the NTS's output to DR05 mic jack in. ✌

Great jam! What is the black device on the left? And which keyboard do you control with Arturia? Is it Volca or NTS? Is it possible to control both at the same time or switch between them on Arturia? Thanks!
@trikOsk4 ай бұрын
Thanks! 😊 The black device is a Midi Thru Filter (Miditech Midi thru 4). You can share the midi signal with it. So you able to control max. 4 synths (not at the same time). But you can change the midi chanel on the Arturia (immediately). So you can control the Nts and the Volca, not at the same time, but you can switch beetwen them immediately.

I made the mistake of getting a Digitone..It's a Great machine, but, for my skill level, wayy too much, for me. This is more my speed, I think. It's only 3 voice polyphony, though, right? I need something I can control with Keystep 37, and just make music. This is absolutely fantastic! Thanks!
@trikOsk Жыл бұрын
Hey man! Thanks for the nice words! Yes, the KEYS has 3 polyphony if you choose the POLY mode on mode selection. :) Cheers from Hungary!

Can you share any info on the cheeks/wood furniture you have for the NTS1? Is it attached using the original screws?
@trikOsk8 ай бұрын
Hi! That made by my carpenter friend, and yes it is attached using the original screws because the KORG give us a plus metal sheet inside for side panel.

Very nice! Are you playing the NTS from the keystep or is it the Volca?
@trikOsk Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The keystep sequences the NtS-1 and on the keys runs the own sequencer. I can play on KEYS (keystep's KBD mode) while it controls the NTS via seq.
@Hakucho64 Жыл бұрын
Such a simple rig! What's doing the sequencing, the Keys or the Keystep?

I had another listen and I honestly don’t know what I was hearing lol. Yeah I was probably hearing the attack at low volume and hearing percussion. Haha
@LoVeAmBiEnT9 ай бұрын
So you have two voices playing a pattern and then you are playing the third voice over the pattern. How is the envelope not repeating every time you get a key?
@trikOsk8 ай бұрын
I am not shure i understand your question. The keystep sequences the NtS-1 and on the keys runs the own sequencer. I can play on KEYS (keystep's KBD mode) while it controls the NTS via seq.
