I think the second one turned out so well in part because the canvas was so slick with paint already and the pour took to the corners quickly and easily so it didn't get distorted. I love the colours of the second one too.

The curse of being an artist!!!! That first one was freaking awesome! As is the second! Sometimes I think we need to just leave a painting as is, HIDE IT!!! Then come back to it a few days later and truly see how amazing it really is!

🌺 🌺 🌺 🌺. So funny: "We'll do it without white. Maybe we'll have a good outcome, maybe not. We're gonna find out!" AWESOME! I love the fun of the experiment. I did LOVE the first pour, though. The second is stunning as well but, who am I to say? I painted over something I really thought just wasn't happening. The second painting was to my liking. Then, when I went to edit the footage and I saw the original painting from another angle, I was almost in tears I'd painted over it. I just never saw what was really within it from the side of the painting I'd been standing on. The camera caught it from the opposite angle. Oh well. At least I have the footage. I was a bit like you the first one was a bit too mauve ....but for me would have been a win .....but wow ! The pour over the top with all the darks looks so awesome! I also didn’t think you would get the same effects without white but it turned out fantastic! I love how there are defined areas and LOVE that slightly blurry area....you always nail it ! You know that I love dark & moody! I knew you were going to pour over the first one too, bc you don’t like pink. I’m dying to see this dry bc the red/gold mix is gorgeous! I’ve mixed up 13 colors, will be pouring 21 ornaments, last big gift paint project.

This one is already dry...not at all like it looks finished here which saddened me as the blue was so pretty. The blue dried very dark almost black in some areas and I’m thinking it’s because the black still beautiful though
