Volcano erupts in Iceland, forcing residents of town to evacuate

A volcano in Iceland’s southwest opened two cracks in the earth, sending rivers of lava creeping toward a small town just 30 miles from the capital. The town’s residents were evacuated overnight. NBC News’ Matt Bradley has the latest.

Was so hard to watch this earlier live stream. There are approx 220-240 sheep blocked in Grindavik and owners cannot get to them. They are in barn but no water or food.

You owe an apology to the family of the worker who disappeared while attempting to fill and close one of the crevices that opened up on a property. The rescue efforts were called off as they were unable to find him in the crevices and it was too dangerous for rescue workers to continue the search. Your story stated that no one had been hurt or injured so far.

God does have a sense of humor. Like when the NYT 6 days ago ran a headline stating that climate change would result in no more snow, then 3 days later it ran a new headline saying how climate change would result in more snow.
