A Very interesting documentary. In a world where there are so many problems, one can always appreciate constructive initiatives. I have been back in Martinique sine 1988 and people's fascination of La Mt. Pelée has never ceased. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

A beautiful journey. Very interesting to see all the geologic features in each volcano, especially Soufriere-St Vincent before its most recent eruption, the intimidating dome at Mt Pelee resembling Chaitén in S Chile or the devastation of Plymouth at Montserrat. Maybe you can make an educational material of each one if you have enough filming. Congratulations, I really enjoyed it.

The eruption of Mt. Pele, only one survivor a Prisoner, not sure of the year probably 1904. Is this the Baiden Powel who said Be Prepared in the Boys Scout Motto?

Great film, David. By the way, the people of Saint Pierre were not "unsuspecting" in 1902: the danger was well recognized and the scientist's advice was to evacuate. But there were local elections planned, and the mayor and other politicians didn't want to disrupt them. Unfortunately (as P.J. O'Rourke once said, when he was still funny), hubris is one of the great renewable resources.
