They continued to use them throughout ww2. They may be that Style, an m16 m17 m18. Heck, they used the m40/42 into the 80s. Nice find Yes. but of ww1? highly doubt that.

Awesome, but, i cringed when the guy pulled the wood off the canteen..... Some canteens were wood covered, i think the larger medical ones that had more capacity...... That was the original coverings remnants he pulled off!!!
