I still have my mkv from 2008 with 68,000 km on the odo. A new golf gti performance with all options and on road taxes is 58k in Australia. Love the Nardo grey but I don't know if we can get that colour here.

What is the sense of a VII GTi with the same R's engine just powerless than it? When the R was VR6 ok, they were different sure, but I do not see any more concrete differences albeit for wallet nowadays. The last really different versions were on V serie only (GTi 2.0 TFSI 200 HP Vs R32 3.2 VR6 250 HP), this is the reality.

@@jakhob the European GTI is alot more expensive for one. The U.S. spec version omits alot of features to cut the cost down which is annoying, but most Americans won't pay top dollar for a vw. We dont get the dynamic taillights either because of some stupid signal rule.

The diference is the turbo. They make one turbo, the MK7 have Bi-turbo. They change the turbo because the new model of contamination
