no they aren't lol, and do you have any diesel engines? i would advice to try a 1.9tdi or 2.0tdi, both are turbo diesels have enough power and never break

i have a 5 year 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.. we will see how soon it starts to give me trouble. that jetta had about 20 recalls.. the one was for the drive shafts falling off.. my jetta was in the shop before it had 1500 miles... i might have had a lemon i dont know.. almost 20,000 miles on routan no problems yet and only one recall to reprogram the computer.....

better than the jetta.. at least the drive shafts didnt fall off and cause accidents like the jetta i had.. the left drive shaft fell off at 3500 miles.. that is poor quality... they said they forgot to tighten them at the factory...poor poor poor quality control... my father had a 98 chrysler town & country that had 200,000 miles on it till it went to the scrap yard due to rust.. he had no problems...we live close to canada and get a lot of snow our vehicles average about 10-15 years

yh but you can't even compare the built quality, and if these both cars would of been in eu then vw would just use their own engines, im quite amazed how they use those chrysler engines, they can't even compete with the vw ones.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT VW TOLD ME THAT IS NORMAL AND THAT THEY ALL DO THAT.. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE SHARON DIESEL.. MY BUDDY HAD A 2007 AUDI A4 2.0T AWD.. HIS DID NOT BURN AS MUCH OIL... BUT THAT IS FINE NOW I NEVER HAVE TO CHECK THE OIL BETWEEN CHANGES WITH THE ROUTAN...

SORRY I KNOW BETTER THE 2.0TDI HAS INJECTOR CAMSHAFT PROBLEMS I KNOW MY ENGINES... I REPAIR ENGINES FOR A LIVING.. 1.9TDI IS A GREAT ENGINE BUT IS SLOW UNLESS YOU DO A LOT OF WORK TO THEM... MY ROUTAN HAS 283HP I WOULD PUT IT AGAINST ANY TDI EXCEPT THE V10 TOUREG

and why u need that much power lol its a minivan, and obviously u dont because i have a sharan 1.9tdi which has defo enough power and doesn't break and my uncle has an audi a4 2.0tdi for 5 years now and it was made in 2005 and guess what nothing, as i said the part quality that you get in us is a lot lower than eu

VW makes best engines man, especially TDI.. VW invented their first 1.9TDI 90hp and it was evolutionary engine.. They put it in Golf, Polo, Passat, Jetta.. however, 1.4 60hp and 2.0 114hp were the worst engines by VW.

The front is in american style. That's nothing beutiful but I quiet like it, not because of look but because of fact that it's VW. For me VW SHARAN was better.

VW ENGINES ARE NOT BETTER. I HAD A JETTA 2.0T BURNED A QUART OIL EVERY 2000 MILES FROM DAY 1............ NOW HAVE A ROUTAN.. LOVE IT. BURNS NO OIL EVEN AT 8000 MILES STILL AS FULL AS THE DAY WE CHANGED IT... 2011 VW/CHRSLER ROUTAN SE 3.6 VVT 6 SPEED

no it's not because vw golf is reliable has a good engine and is made in germany where as this routan, chrysler parts are used which means no build quality what so ever, if the car will break you will pay a lot to repair it, the engine is an absolute piece of shit, even the 2.0tdi would own this engine. So it's not a vw anymore, its a chrysler
