Question: can you flick the gear stick from drive to sport while cruising, or do you have to decide the option prior to driving? Thank you.

You can flick it to Sport when you drive. No problem.

How do you activate 4 wheel drive?

It’s AWD system. It means you don’t need to switch anything. The vehicle will distribute torque to front and rear depending on driving conditions. The drive mode switch allows you to select off road functions

Could be good to know what is the difference between mode, because Snow, off road, mountain and road doesn't mean anything to me. I would like to know what is the situation with 4 motion for each mode if possible. Otherwise very useful video ;) Thanks
