Something sounds strange to me. I had a test drive with the taigo and i liked the 1.5 L with Dsg. It was responsive and comfortable even at low rpm. I'm 1.75 tall and I can tellyou there was enough legroom in the back, passing my hand in front of my knees and over the head. In the video the front seat seems to be pulled back to the end. Most car haven't much legroom with seats in that position. Bootspace is good, 440L insn't it? You can go for travel with 4 passengers and lluggage...A well balanced car. And the price is not absolutly the same of t-roc, it is 3000 euros cheaper. So, this taigo will fit the needs of a sgmented market in my opinion

If you mean a first car for a young driver, it's probably a bit too much, I'd say go for an UP or Polo. If you need the space, then a Taigo is a great choice. I don't know a lot about there in europe, but here in Brazil the Taigo Cousin (Nivus) was created to be a cheaper option than the T-Cross (wich has a longer wheelbase compared to the European one) and Tiguan (the T-Roc isn't sold here) in the Crossover lineup of VW, and it only have a 1.0 TSI engine, also, people here also complain for the lack of more ground clearance, is a shame you didn't like much the taigo, but seeing that is more expensive than a T-Roc in some versions and have wheelbase a the T-Cross and Polo here, It really doesn't make much sense except for having a different design, great video Marek, is aways a joy seeing your videos, keep doing your great work.

The Taigo is priced above the TCross and below the TRock in South Africa. I was looking at purchasing a Taigo in December but after seeing the space at the back for passengers, it will be a pass. However for about the same money you get a TRoc which is updated with softer touch plastics, has more interior and trunk space, offers a multi-link rear suspension with the 1.5 lt engine, and is also quite sporty looking, so TRoc is in, Taigo is out, any way you look at it.

I understand that new car prices are going up, but 25k for a Polo with a 1.0 TSI is a terrible joke (just converted from HUF, not sure if it's actually 25k in Germany as well) I can buy an i20 N for less than a 1.0 TSI Polo. First i am not english native speaker so sry for any grammar errors. I have seen many reviews on taigo but your one is really bad one. I have seated and driven taigo for couple of thousands miles already so i feel i can compare with your review. 1. Leg room at rear seats is totally ok. I am 184cm and i can sit behind my driver position easy. I feel that it is one the pros of taigo actually (look at other taigo reviews…) 2. Noise in the cabin. Look at the tests done by other people and you will see it pretty quite car on highways. (Actually i hear noise comming from rear tyres but nothing from the roof. 3. Not good for driving in high speeds? Maybe you are driving som A class cars but i have been driving BMW before and taigo is pretty close to it in terms of driving in higer speeds. Again look at the other tests and the handling is one of the pros of taigo. 3 driving systems are not good? I guess you are comparing it with tesla… as taigo has latest IQ DRIVE from VW and it it works pretty good. I dont understand why you are providing viewers with such BS info. And btw i dont think Android car works wireless I was able to run it on cable only as on wireless you dont have data connection but maybe you have found out how to do it….
@MarekDrivesENG2 жыл бұрын
There is no objective truth. These are my opinions based on what is probably a broader range of vehicles I get to drive. And yes, having a car for a week rather than for a couple of months means I have to time get used to certain aspects, which in the longer run may not be as annoying to owners. There are no perfect cars, and buying a car means navigating between various parameters, and deciding what's important for you. That being said: 1. Taigo boot space is advertised as bigger than in the T-Cross, which is true only when the T-Cross rear bench is all the way back. In which case the T-Cross has much better legroom, than the Taigo (or larger boot with the same legroom). 2. I drive most test cars on the same roads in similar conditions. In the Mokka at 140 km/h I wasn't sure if the engine was running, and in the Taigo at 90 km/h I had to raise my voice, when talking with the passenger. 3. No, it's not designed for high-speed driving, and this is just an observation, not a disadvantage. If you need something for frequent long cruises Taigo should not be taken into consideration. I would not recommend any B-crossover for that kind of use (maybe except the Mokka, which was really quiet). 4. IQ Drive is a generic name for various driver assist features, which differ between VW models and segments. As this is a bottom of the range segment, this gets ACC and the most rudimentary lane keeping assist, which it has to to get a decent Euro NCAP score. But it won't say in the middle of the lane or follow the car in front. Android Auto was wireless on this car, but it may depend on the infotainment level or it's just an electronics glitch on your side.
@andrejdluholucky18292 жыл бұрын
I think you had style version of taigo. In style and rline you get latest IQ drive that means you get travel assist. It is not same as line assist. You should be using travel assist function. That function keeps car in the middle of lines. If you buy media discovery package with rod sign recognition you get dynamic ACC that means car will adjust speeds acording to road sign assist and according to optimal speed for curves according to gps data from the navi. Line assist is set by default to react very late (almost when car touches line) you can chnage this by obd eleven for example. But you should be using travel assist if you want to experience semi auto drive. This is one of the best function of taigo after IQ lights.

LOL and you don't care about the rear legroom... Always sharp!! I'm not sure I've heard anybody say that unless they are buying a 911. There's a dad at my youngest girl's school who drove his girls to school in his 911. Then they complained because they weren't comfortable with their head tilted over so he got an Audi S5 Sportback. Anyways, the T Roc and this don't come to NA so I would buy neither. And for some reason, NA gets a different HRV. We are fatter over here. With vW, the lineup starts with the Taos with the Tiguan being the larger Tiguan. I can see the appeal of these 2. The Taos is 26k to start topping off at 36k and the big Tiguan is 32k to 43k. I do see the appeal of the Atlas Cross sport with it's sportier, big macho beefy looks because it's got tons of room still and it's clearly a different size category.

This car is the definition of a miserable Euro Box yet again from VW. Another car that nobody asked for, especially at this ridiculous price! I might forgive VW if the made RELIABLE cars!!

Arkana is a size larger. This is still a B-crossover, while Arkana is a C-crossover.

Marek Drives in English : it's a horrendus car since it has practically ZERO space for legs in the back seats....this is certainly illegal due to safety standards :). Pathetic cheap low quality VW car that nobody wants :).

I tried this car, and I had enough leg room for sure. May be the front seat is pulled back to the end? Find this review non objective
