Well they already had it built since this is just a slighty detuned engine from an Audi SQ7. Also diesel didnt die, the ones without EURO 6 norm just wont be allowed into cities, ones with EURO 6 have no problems what so ever.

Better than any electric car. Yes it could be the future but currently an electric car is not competitive. The companies should invest in hydrogen engines not only in electric cars. Noting is better than a combustion engine which works with the Otto Principal. They should reinvent it. Go!

if you read any kind of papers, and by this I mean proper scientific ones, not those a dumbass with no clue about this topic wrote, you will get to the point that there is hardly anything better than the electric engine (in terms of efficiency). In fact even the diesel-engine has better efficiency than the Otto-engine and is better in CO2 emissions too. I agrre with you when it comes to developing hydrogen-cars because of the infrastucture and refueling-time and so on though. But please get informed intead of talking wrong information ;)

Ian Grob Audi and Hyundai are cooperating when it comes to future hydrogen cars and other brands are on the „hydrogen path“ too. It just takes time to develop. (For my country) In germany they are building more and more hydrogen-filling stations, that tells us, that more hydrogen cars will come in the future.VW will make more hydrogen cars, but not only, electric cars also play a big role.

I have the last 7p version of this v8 diesel and have had the ecu flashed . let me tell you they are an epic car! I tow a large caravan and this thing does not know its behind. and has the acelleration of a sports car. Cant wait to update to this new model.

My 2005 v8 with air suspension is simply the best car I’ve ever owned, I have repaired the suspension and maintained every expensive part. Reason? It still beats the pants off the newer models, until THIS TOUAREG SHOWED UP . AWD, 4 WD, AND Posi- track plus a three level air adjust to go over anything a poorly built Jeep will, and its a v8, man nothing runs lime an 8. Can’t wait for the US arrival of this NEW , BIGGER , DIESEL V8 beaut.

I said that because Porsche ditched there Diesels even though they could easily bring them back (Panamera, Macan, Cayenne - not the sports cars obviously). Everybody in Germany knows which companies are owned by VAG. Volkswagen acquired Porsche after Porsche failed to secure funding to take on Volkswagen funny enough.
