Hi, Marek. Recently I convinced my boss to change his old Suzuki Grand "Garbage" Vitara for Tiguan TDI. Same 140 HPs, but diesel. Now he is extremely happy with it. All people I asked about these "incriminated" engines are agree that it is a merely political wars. How can anyone complain about 2 liters diesel emissions while most of them are driving 5 liters V8 themselves in their United States? =) And just before the new year I got a 3.0 TDI Touareg 2008 and very happy. It makes wonderful roars while accelerating for only 16000 USD. And thanks for a good review.

+DoriKei That's why I'm asking you guys. I know people in Poland don't give a toss, unless they can sue VW and get some money out of it.

+DoriKei how can it be a political war when vw stated something which was obviously not correct, on top of that they knew about it. a chevrolet 5.0 V8 does pollute more but they don't hide the real figures...especially not in the US. VW will still be selling good in the U.S in long run even with this "scandal" or whatever you wanna call it. people who appreciate cars, build quality, performance, reliability will always choose a touareg over some thirty 4.0 liters american "muscle" suv

DoriKei let me clarafy what they say: they say that, diesel emisions contain high concentration NOx, nitous oxide, wich is very dangerous for our health and wich, otto engines emite far less. Well I'm a diesel owner myself, and had petrol engine car in the past, and I don't belive in this non sence eather. In my opinion, they polute mearly the same, when compared to same engine size and euro emision standard. Just lock yourself in a garage for 60 seconds with the engine runing, with each one at a time. For your boddy, the feeling is the same. Maybe chemical whyse is different but the feeling is the same.

I remember that since the 2.0 tdi there have been bosch edc ecu's with and without antituning, the antituning ones lowered the power when the car was on a 2 wheel dyno and the normal ones did not . Of course the car was tuneable on a 4 wheel dyno , that is the whole secret.

Great vid Marek. You're getting better and better... Oh BTW my vrs is scheduled in to get rid of the cheating software. It'll be interesting to see what impact it has on fuel consumption and performance.....

+Ottavianus Augustus Polish winters aren't what they used to be, although it was -16 a few weeks back. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHPGiIetnZpobJI It's my MX-5 in this episode, but I filmed the new one about a week ago (unfortunately all the snow melted, so there's just a lot of mud flying about). +Marek Drives should be fixed now, damn google+ ! Hyped for the mx-5. reviewers love that little car, and I'm sure that if there is something wrong with it, you will be the one to point it out. ( it's meant as a compliment, you speak your mind, you are not reading the brochure! )

The dealer group I work with in North Carolina, US has seen a tripling in used VWs traded in, most of them diesels. Both gas and diesel used VWs are not selling. VWs resale values have taken a big hit.

+xanderxenius In Poland we're waiting for Q1 2016 results. Most Q4 2015 registrations were fleet, and these were purchases made earlier on in the year. Moreover dealers received some incentives, and sales in December actually went up y/y. Private buyers will take whatever discount is currently offered, but they add up to less than half of all sales. So it's up to foreign companies, which may order their Polish subsidiaries to buy or not to buy VWs in the future.

+RFatih Özdemir If we're talking about 7-seaters we'd have to compare Touran vs. 2 Series Grand Tourer. I haven't driven the latter, so I can't say. I can compare Active Tourer vs. Golf Sportsvan. BMW is a more fun car to drive, but not good enough to justify 30+ percent higher price. Unless you want the badge and concierge services there is no reason to go for the BMW.

(Spain) About the scandal, this week VW has contacted owners to offer the first solution: modification of software and stabiliser for the air flow. Apparently, people are worried and complain about VW cheating, but they keep buying their cars.

Hi! Improved camera quality? With a detailed zoom the Touran interior looks very cheap, i almost get the idea it looks (or has too feel) like a Dacia some way. Not my cup of tea. I expected a bit more from new VW-models. Anyway, as always: good reviews, keep up to good work!

+Jonathan Smit See both cars in real life, touch both interiors. The difference is huge. The camera is the same since about 2013 (Lumix GH3).

I'm not a fan of Volkswagen but I want to buy a car and I don't know which to choose between this Volkswagen 1.4 but 2009 or Mercedes Benz E CLASS OR MERCEDES C 180 OR MAZDA 3 which one you would suggest??

turning engine before it stops it allows you to save much more fuel on long term, but thats not what coasting is.

Great, unless you have a twin-stroller. Then you will need the Sharan (hard to find as used).
