Hey, great video. I’ve replaced both bearings in my rear axle with the febest kit. After very short few weeks both sides are weeping again. O rings are fine and I’m loosing oil through the bearing itself. Is the seal not meant on the outside and the oil lubricates the bearings? The only other amarok wheel bearing change video on here says seal on the outside and bearing runs in diff oil? Appreciate your reply mate 😅
@firstclassbrakesandautomot6941
@firstclassbrakesandautomot6941 Жыл бұрын
Hi there. The seal inside the bearing is to face towards the diff centre, or another words the seal faces inwards, the shiny metal steel ring faces towards the wheel. Hope this helps. Unfortunately it sounds like you have them around the wrong way and you'll need to do the job again. All the best. Keep in touch if need be please. Regards Matt.

Don't have the torque setting sorry we tighen it up with a Slogging ring spanner 52mm size until it wont go any further then lock down the nut into the 2 cut outs in the axle so there's no way of it vibrating loose. The ABS ring and retainer are pressed on holding all things altogether the nut is a secondary way of making sure nothing moves Regards Matt.
