The VW up! is a typical city car, but so far the actual version can only be ordered with a combustion engine. Now we had the chance to test drive the new e-up!. Its 61 kW electric motor in combination with the 32.3 kWh battery, should ensure a range of up to 260 km.

Very nice car for city traffic and short stretches on the highway. The only downside are the front seats. Standard camping chairs offer more comfort than these "boards with raised edges". But it drives really good, even in eco-mode.

I think you have grown as a reviewer - for the right person the e-Up is a good car, but not for everyone ! Hope you enjoy you ID.3 when you get it. Keep providing your views on EVs. I find the only problem is pulling backwards to go forwards and then pushing forward to go backwards on the lever. Who thought that would be good idea? Pull back for reverse push forward for drive innit

Great car but you'll have a long wait to buy one ...there are long waiting lists for the e-up in Yorkshire and Lancashire dealerships.

And no 3 phase on Type 2 connector. Shame. I would charge it at home at 400V 3 phase or while travelling, it is much more convenient to plug at restaurant, than to search for charger. Type 2 3 phase can deliver 22KW, so during 1 hour lunch it can replenish up to 22kWh of energy.

I think the battery has not got a BMS system like more expensive EV's. Something to think about before purchase.

This is a completely sensible electric car. How is some massive behemoth Tesla supposed to be good for the environment. Use it as a second car for the family or hire a car for a ultra long trip. What I like is that the car has excellent range but you can get a reasonable charge out of a 230vac outlet.
