@@clarissajaq6085 Late reply, and I'm not quite sure what you meant by none of them being in an under category, but the dark blue / navy team is the panasonic panthers, a team that plays in the Japanese Vleague div. 1 and the team in red / blue were Higashiyama High School's 2020 team which won the spring nationals, earning them a place at the Emperor's and Empress' cup, playing against top teams from Vleague div.1 and 2 and the university national champion. So Higashiyama's team is technically U-19 at this time.

@@krisztiangador721 No, I mean none of these players on higashiyama's roster were scouted to Japan's under-cat National Team. They deserve so much exposure, especially the setter. I'm a big fan of him and Takahashi's combination.

Takahashi was for sure recruited at some point as he shows up on the screen during the Haruko 2020 opening ceremony when they are showing the national teams that played in a few internaitonal games against asian teams in august. But other than that I haven't seen any documents showing that he actually played which is a bit weird at first but more reasonable when you realize that up until the 2019 Inter-High, Rakunan always beat Higashiyama in the Kyoto regionals so the players just didn't have enough exposure.

Would be interesting to see where Nakashima-kun (the setter) ends up because he is definitely a huge talent but unfortunately his size doesn't help him. For now he is playing alongside Kusumoto-kun (No. 6) at Tenri University.

Yes, their captain, #1 Ran Takahashi, was recruited to the national team at 18, before he even graduated high school. People call him Ishikawa 2.0 because like Ishikawa he is also a well rounded player who is good at everything. He is said to be the next ace of Japan after Ishikawa. Sry outta nowhere, this was part of the Kinki region tourney. (Japan has like 5,6 regions I think) Higashiyama is from Kyoto and Panthers are an Osaka pro team. It’s pretty much a tourney of the top team from HS to Pro within that region. Hope it helps!

It’s a championship where the top middle school, high school, college teams get to play against V League division 1 and division 2 adults. It takes place every year.
