1:49:21 sequence - Clayton (commentator) says the violation was that the libero (E. Shoji) set the ball and an attack was made inside the 3-meter line. I thought that wasn't correct - it was because the backcourt setter (Christensen) hit the ball above the net and it went over to the opponent's court (which constitute an above-the-net attack). Any experts clarify, please?

Not really an expert, but you are absolutely right. The violation was called on Micah Cristenson, the setter for USA, because of a backrow play above and then over the net, not on Erik Shoji. Erik Shoji did not set the ball, he played defense with his platform and not his hands
