I know there are countless reasons why individuals might not be able to fight and I don't fault those who choose to escape to ensure a better future for their children, but as long as a leader is willing to stay and fight with his people, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them calling on their people to defend their homeland. This isn't about nationalism -- a truly democratic world would be better off without borders considering that it was blind, essentialist rhetoric that contributed to this mess in the first place -- but I'd defend a nation's right to protect its territorial integrity against the threat of autocratic rule any day of the week. People praise Churchill for his galvanizing message in WWII that the British people would fight for every inch of their country and never surrender to Hitler's Germany in the case of a full-scale invasion, but thankfully that rhetoric was never ultimately tested. Well, Zelensky and the people of Ukraine are demonstrating that very sentiment before the eyes of the world with their unbelievable bravery. No matter the outcome, Putin's regime lost the war for the hearts and minds of the world before the invasion even started.

@@Len124 The biggest crisis facing the world today is the power and tyranny of the United States and its followers, which destroy the foundation of international peace and stability. The unilateral and unfair Cold War mentality of the United States and its gang-like foreign policy have gradually led to a new cold War pattern in international relations. Political and military tensions in hot spots around the world are increasing day by day, and new problems are emerging one after another. The United States has ignored Russia's legitimate security requirements, blindly pursued hegemony and military superiority, and unilaterally imposed sanctions on Russia. The root cause of the situation in Ukraine lies in its power and imperiousness. The unilateral enlargement and threat of NATO have destroyed the balance of power in Europe and seriously threatened Russia's national security. The US believes that its interference in other countries' internal affairs is a "just" act to safeguard world peace and stability, while other countries' self-defensive measures are "unjust" and "provocative". All for what? Power. Power so you can continue to steal from their own people. All tyrants anywhere are bad. Russia lost 20 million in WWII. I hope the good Russian people get rid of their tyrant. This just shows that you’re an INDIVIDUAL before any labels that jobs give you. You’re capable of anything as long as you have the determination to learn and improve. Some do it with evilness, corruption… Others are just like him, improving, changing adapting and working hard to achieve different goals. What an inspiration and a Hero this man has become!
@yerpderp68002 жыл бұрын
This is something that has been dawning on me more and more as the years have gone by. There's power in labels, it helps group things so that the world is easier to understand but in the process we lose flexibility, the ability to adapt to changes. I used to place folks into buckets of stereotypes, after meeting a lot of people though I'm realizing people aren't as simplistic as that. Some stereotypes fit but the fact people can grow, pick up new hobbies and outgrow old ones, have a different demeanor after certain life events, etc, speaks to the wide breadth of what a person is capable of. I limited myself in the process of trying to classify folks instead of taking them how they are in that moment, indirectly affecting that individual in the process. As I let go of this need to create labels and classify things I'm also finding myself to be much more capable than I thought, on top of feeling a growing sense of vitality. I wonder what would happen if all labels drop, where we no longer have the urge to classify things, where we become balls of pure potential that can grow in whatever direction?

Please read this to it's entirety before adding your two cents. People should understand Russia was almost forced into this war they could not allow Ukraine to join NATO an organization that was created to fight against Russias interests. Russia is simply looking after their national security just as we did during the Cuban missile crisis the only difference is Cuba is not right on our border. People should look at a map of Europe and realize if NATO controls Ukraine they can use it as a staging ground to attack Russia in a future conflict, but if it is controlled by the Russians then NATO must first declare war on Ukraine and attack it before sending troops into Russia this gives Russia time to ready itself for war. The Ukraine Russia border is large and would be vary hard to defend it is one thing having enemies in close proximity it's another story having them on your border. The media is not pointing this out instead they are putting out their propaganda if the situation was reversed and the Mexican or the Canadian government wanted to join an enemy coalition then America would do the samething to those countries. This war is partly NATOs and Ukraines fault if you are a nation next to a superpower it is not a wise move to try and partner with their enemy as that is a threat to their national security that has be addressed and if negotiations fail then they have to try to remove the government and put in one that supports them. I'm not saying Ukraine can't join NATO but when they started to negotiate to join Russia had little options if they wished to keep Ukraine in their hands Russia cannot attack a NATO nation as that would start WW3 so it forced Putin into a corner it was either attack now or lose Ukraine forever. I don’t support Russia but I can't blame them for what they are doing as I know from history that we in America would do the samething. I need to clarify again I in no way support Russia but whenever there is a conflict people should try and see things from all sides think if the situation was reversed what would we do in response. I know we would not let a border country join an enemy coalition, so I don't know why anybody expects Russia to allow Ukraine to fall to their enemy NATO. Understand with NATO controlling Ukraine it would give them a huge advantage if it was forced to attack Russia with NATO in control of Latvia, Estonia, and Ukraine it would be easier to cut the supply line between Belarus and Russia using a pincher maneuver and attack Moscow from two different directions look at a map and think like a general and you'll see why Russia feels they need to control that region. I also understand why Ukraine wanted to join NATO and support them in their fight for freedom and independence from Russia. It is a complicated issue Ukraine was trapped between a rock and a hard space and had too do something to try and stop Russia from invading so they turned to Russias enemies but that only insured the need for Russia to attack and try to change the government to one that is pro Russian. The Superpowers have been playing these games with peoples lives for years it was only a matter of time before someone again got hurt I hope not too many people die for theses foolish games our governments play. I believe NATO is using Ukraine they have employed an old war tactic look for someone that has a conflict with your enemy, throw fuel on the fire and watch it burn come in provide weapons and logistics and sit back an let them fight the battles for you. It is the same tactic we did to the Russians back in the 80s with the Afghan/Russia War we used Afghanistan to fight the Russians then after the USSR went bankrupt we abandoned them this is one of the causes of why 9/11 happened people don't like being used and did not like our involvement in their affairs. Please note I do not sympathize with Russia and hope they pay for attacking Ukraine but in the art of war you must know your enemies and know yourself see through our enemies eyes and find truth. I support Ukraines fight for freedom and independence from Russia but I also understand why Russia had to respond and went to war understanding is in no way supporting this war, people should look at conflicts from all sides and look past the media propaganda and think independently.

@@kungfoochicken08 Ooops, sorry, I noticed your reply only now. Which is good because events have developed further in the meantime. We can even compare now the performance of Zelensky to our own, much richer yet grievously uneducated, reality show host who was eagerly embraced by the American oligarchs. I agree wholeheartedly 🙏 but that's exactly what putin wants. For a single western country country to escalate the situation by engaging militarily. That will give him all the justification he needs to start a nuclear war. Right now he really has no reason to. If he does start one, Russia will definitely be wiped off the face of the earth but we will also suffer devastating and unimaginable casualties as well. Majority of the Russian citizens do not support what putin is doing but if an actual war breaks out with Russia and the US we will have no choice but to strike those innocent citizens that live in Russia as well. Putin is nuts and also a self centered coward. He will probably be in the comfort of his well fortified bunker while the rest of us perish due to a war he started. I think handling this with great caution is the best way to go. Prayers up for Ukraine 🇺🇦

Also we live in a time where subs can carry nuclear weapons so Russia doesn't need Cuba to place nuclear missiles at America's doorstep. It's onr thing to talk about "freedom for all" as a democratic nation but it is another to "fight for it" as a leader to keep for your country from a ruthless aggressor like "Putin The War Criminal". Volodymyr Zelensky is a hero for his country, his people and of the democratic principal's that we should always fight for and represent by example not just words! The world needs to see more leaders who stand up for their people and their country like this man has rather than lining their pockets with the wealth of their hard- working middle class citizens! President Volodymr Zelensky has the worlds respect and when everything is said and done whether they win or loose that will always stand out to the world. Heaven help Putin if he harms him because they he will feel the worlds wrath which would be a public hanging at Haig!
