These are cool cars, didn't know they made so few, great info Jay. Basically a Grand Prix interior, like the upgraded motor! 👍

I saw one of these parked on the street in Boston in 1977 and knew it was something special. I never forgot it. Dream car for me.

My dad bought one that year...black on black...loved that car. Great steering and power.

I believe they only made these in Cameo white paint

Can Ams were only made in white. Prob a Lemans? (same body).

Back in 77 I found myself lined up next to one of these at a red light while in my 67 Mustang. It walked me.

I looked at one in Lincoln Nebraska back in 83. I kinda liked it but bought a 78 Grand Prix instead. In fact I think I even paid more for the Grand Prix. I really didn’t like the can am, thought it looked like a poor man’s trans am. Lol. Crazy how perceptions change. I would love to have it now over the GP.

Beautiful car! Looks like it needs an alignment, steering wheel is off center.

Alot of the power steering GM cars back then had some slack in them
@michaelrocky45714 ай бұрын
@@drift3rkid66 Not true, i owned a brand new Can Am in 1977 and it was very tight steering and this one in the video definitely needs some front end work and alignment.

Bucket list car for me. Pretty optimistic price, but where will you find another with this low mileage
@truckerkevthepaidtourist8 ай бұрын
Massively under power smogged and bogged to the hilt but the thing is nowadays it's a head turning cruiser. what it's about when you buy this. You just take it out drive it around people definitely turn some heads. Doesn't have to be fast like a trans Am or aftermarket in with some LS motor in it or any of that garbage just the numbers matching good-looking weekend cruiser

Leave it the GM bean counters. Heaven forfend, make the car without the spoiler!!! I am certain an aftermarket company would have been willing to make the spoiler. 😢
@michaelrocky45714 ай бұрын
Back when i had my new one in 77 i never believed the later stories about the spoiler and Grand Prix stories... I think they just decided they could make more money off the G.P. sticker on my Can Am was just under 7grand back then. was a lot of money for those days as a young kid. And the only car i ever paid sticker price for. LOL

Neat Car but too similar to a Grand Prix Pontiac division of General Motors just could not keep from playing hey Ma how do we dress the twins on this Sunday of course the other GM divisions were stuck in the same conundrum So did the big Pentastar competitor with Three makes then later adding Jeep & Eagle after buying out AMC corporation and then you had sleight of hand & window dressing going on at FoMoCo three divisions

Crappy job on installing the carpet- Headliner not good. For the asking price I would expect it to be in better shape. 22k miles if original that car should be perfect.
