I am SO happy Wright went to Miami! They are one of the three teams that I try to watch every week, so I was ecstatic for him to go there. While I have a deep dislike of the Patriots, I will be pulling for Milton.

Great breakdown Bull. For a bullish year I think we did well. Had some insane odd panic push early on in this draft that delayed some great players all the way across the board. Proud of our guys and if many of those UDFA players get permanent spots o those teams, it's a big win for us in a year we just didn't have as many to draft.

Perspective is a funny thing. If you'd brought in Joe when JG was the QB, fans would have raved about how good Milton is. He had good numbers last year. Not great, but Joe doesn't suck by any means. Errbody needs to lay off JMIII. Hope he beats out Maye.

Facts! People forget how far we've come with guys like Joe at QB. He is actually one of the better QBs we've had at Tennessee! Wish him nothing but the best and hope he will stay close to the program!

Bruh, I like your content a lot and am a MASSIVE Vols fans, but what are you smoking to think we may have TWENTY players selected in the draft next year?! The RECORD is 15 in a single year. We’ll probably see 5-6 picked next year, 7-8 if we have a 10+ win season and maybe 12 total signing with a team. Pierce, Bru, Sprags, Omari Thomas, Omar Norman-Lott, Cooper, Thornton, Bryson Eason are probably the best candidates. Sampson, Squirrel if they decide to go early, Pili might be considered if he has a REALLY good year (but most teams will probably be afraid of the injury history), John Campbell, Elijah Simmons, and the Bama transfer TE if they have great years. Don’t forget, a good portion of the star talent of this team are sophomores or freshmen.

You forgot Holden Staes, Chris Brazzell, Elijah Simmons, Tyre West, Jayson Jenkins, Dominic Bailey, Joshua Josephs, Andre Turrentine, Jourdan Thomas, Kobe Thomas, Kaleb Webb, Chas Nimrod, Kalib Perry, Jackson Ross, Jaxson Moi all have a chance to get drafted if they have a good year on a championship caliber team. Keep in mind nobody had Michigan being a championship contender before last season outside of their own fans because their roster didn't look great on paper, and they just had 13 players get selected because the season came together well for them. Not saying it WILL happen, but that we have so many players that will eligible that it COULD happen.

Thanks Debra! I understand why they did it, and it makes sense to me! I really like him as a passer and he can run if he needs to. I'm just concerned about all the injuries, but I'm sure they checked everything out before drafting him!

I feel you, but I think he had to take the chance because RBs get hurt all the time. I think it ended up working in his favor going to a team that's playoff ready!

I think the decision makers are starting to go with what the popular pick is in a lot of situations now. Our guys will play well on the next level and it will swing back the other way of actually evaluating talent more. We'll be fine!

Regarding Milton, how confident do you feel that Milton can process quickly enough for the NFL? I mean, he was frequently late on his reads, & he didn't like to run the offense that fast because he couldn't process the defense fast enough. This is why the staff kept throwing to the sidelines. He simply didn't process fast enough for middle of the field passes. Do you think that is something between his own ears that just can't be improved? Or do you really believe he can be improved? I wonder if he ends up as a Tight End in a couple of years.

I don't think he'll be playing TE he's a QB imo. I can't say for sure how much was a problem with him processing vs people not being open but I believe he is capable of doing well in the NFL. We'll see in about 4 months if he has what it takes!

Not necessarily because we didn't have guys that were projected that high outside of Jay Wright. I think he will be dominant and that will help us in drafts moving forward and recruiting imo.

I hope so i just don't want this to give us a black eye to recruit with bc it's guys dreams to make it to the league. I just feel like our guys deserve the top contracts and all the goods as well. The talent is there I'm just tried our guys guys getting over looked so others can make 20-40 more millions dollars. Big NFL money puts money back into knoxville and the city as well sometimes

I just hope our guys get treated according going forward bc boo Carter Josephs matthews and nico squrriel white arent aren't chump change they are top 3 round guys in my eyes. Cooper may be a 2nd 3rd 4th 5th round guy as well. Hard telling anymore what they go off on. We got better talents then undrafted free agents. No way mizzou duke toledo whoever should be having 1st and 2nd 3rd round picks but we dont..

Drake Maye vs Joe. Mayo did say he intends on Joe and Drake competing for spots. Drake had a slightly less productive 23 season than in 22. He tossed 7 INT's in 22 and 9 in 23. 24 passing TD's, Joe had 20. Joe with a slightly better passing accuracy and against SEC defenses vs the ACC. How do you lose to VA? I think Joe has the most upside as well and imo, much more physical than Drake Maybe and is comparable throwing the ball. TN didn't need to throw it more than Joe if you have a rushing offense as good at TN's. To me, Drakes two years isn't much for a guy 21 and his stats aren't really that close to what we see a top 3 QB taken would be. Daniels threw 40 TD's by comparison. I think Joe has a great chance to be QB1 at NE as I think eventually he beat out Drake May.

That would be great if he could win that battle G! I'm excited to see him in the preseason games and if he has made some strides in the Patriot's system. I wouldn't be surprised if he looks good for a couple seasons in preseason and somebody trades for him!

@@bluechipbreakdown I mean I would get it if Joe was going up against a Goff like Hooker is in Detroit. But Drake Maye isn't a Jayden Daniels, or Mac Jones. 24 TDs in the ACC and losses to who? I think he was the next best QB to hype up for the ailing ACC when Travis of FSU went down. I'm not saying 100% that Joe is better than Drake but for what the NFL is looking for, Joe is what they are preferring. A real run theat, throws the ball well. I think Joe with a slower offense than he's used to running, will improve himself or a trade and I think he could beat Drake out, that possibility is there. I'm just looking at the stats for both very closely, their conferences as well as they're form and physicality. But I think Jerrod was series when he said JOe is there to compete for the best QB position.

@@bluechipbreakdown A question no one has answered. When was the last time we had a QB drafted top 3, that early who went 8-4, let alone in the ACC and was well under 30 TD's in passing? lol And if that ever happened, how did it turn out?

It wasn't all on Milton. The players that replaced Jalin Hyatt and Darnell Wright (a first-rounder) weren't as good either. That's why there more undrafted Vols this year versus 2023.

Horrible plays don't get drafted. He's one of the best in the world at his position and as a Vol Fan I want him to succeed!
