Hooker was a unique difference maker because of how effective he was on deep throws, and man did he torch LSU that day. If Hyatt got a step on a DB Hooker was going to make you pay every time. Milton didn't have that same ability - plenty of arm but not much touch. That's a unique talent for a QB and it obliterates opponent morale. Nico has shown glimpses of that ability too and it would be great to hit OU with a long pass play early to put them on their heels.

The thing about a running QB is for every big run they pull off they're very susceptible to fumbles. You can strip them much easier than backs because they run with the ball out more than others. Hopefully UT is focusing on stripping the QB this week because I think there will be opportunities there. He can have a 15 yard run if we punch it out.

As a subscriber, I'll give a quarter's worth of two cents. 1. UT hasn't been challenged. NC State played us close until they fell apart. Kent state missed tackle after tackle, plus their own self-inflicted wounds. 2. I'm remembering 2016 when we were hyped up early and ESPN was doing stories about our offensive line and Josh Dobbs, then a terrible loss to A&M on 6 turnovers, worse losses to SC & Vandy to lose the east. 3. Our defensive line is better than their offensive line, our QB is better than their QB, their QB is their leading rusher, which is a problem for them, I'll assume that our offensive line is at least as good as their defensive line. I think we've got strong special teams as well. All in all, advantage UT. While I'll never set aside UT's ability to pull defeat from the jaws of victory, I'm optimistic. I think the team will be motivated to win this one for Coach. If UT loses, it'll be on 3+ turnovers.

Oklahoma needs some momentum. Fast start, good time on the drives, stop the run early and get the evening crowd behind them. Get TN to press. That'll give them a good chance. And turnovers, if they happen would only fuel the fire. Otherwise this might be a slow strangle.

I agree, the main key on the road in the SEC is simply not assisting your opponent with turnovers. UT can't hand the ball to OU. Short fields turn mediocre offense into good ones that score 30. Also I want to see the pass rush step it up. The D has played well in all aspects but hasn't been great with the pass rush yet, like was expected. UT has 4 sacks through 3 games, and that may be from the DC holding back from showing many blitzes or stunts before conference play. I think we need 4 sacks in one game this week. That's key. If they pressure Arnold he will screw up. And don't bail him out giving up huge chunk runs on 3rd down by getting out of the pass rush lanes. If we see those two things I think UT will win this game.

Oklahoma almost lost to Houston and even though the final score between Oklahoma and Tulane was 34 to 19 that doesn't really reflect the reality of that game. There were nearly 2 quarters in the second half where Oklahoma couldn't do anything offensively and Tulane was moving the ball effectively. Tennessee meanwhile has destroyed every team thay have played, including NC State who is definitely at least as good as Houston, and we did it at a neutral site
