Pretty cool, but how did your hair get so awesome?

Im planning on installing one today but it doesnt have the battery percentage, just reads the volts. At 50% battery life would it read 24 volts?

24v golf cart? Should be 36 or 48 more commonly. I forget what the exact voltage reading is for 36 vs 48v but can quickly google it. You can also check each battery independently to see what it’s voltages fully charged and compare that to what a standard battery of that capacity Would be most typically 8v batteries hooked in series 8.4v or higher for each individual battery

It’s a 48v golf cart. The part I got I thought had percentage on it but it doesn’t. I googled though and answered my question but really appreciate you getting back to me so fast. I could decipher it myself while riding but the kids might not be able to so I’m just gonna get one that reads percentage 😅

How accurate is it when you drive it meaning what does it read when the cart starts to slow down?
@ScottieBMan Жыл бұрын
It is not accurate under load bc the amps are changing with speed so throws the reading off but once you stop it returns to accurate reading

Where did u hook the negative
@ScottieBMan Жыл бұрын
Positive to the first positive in series and negative to last negative in series.

Why not just tap into the 48v the ignition switch wire?

Depends if your ignition has a Power DC to AC inverter then your not going to get accurate reading, tho I believe most carts are just DC, regardless getting the amperage/volts directly from the battery will give you the most accurate read.
