Oh dear Angela, nice seeing you again! This was a little... experiment ... As I'm in trying, as possible as I can, to organise some tour in the occasion of holidays and special festivals. It was a suggestion and I think a good one! From time to time I'll show something similar. Volterra was truly nice, agreed. Quite a long walk this...but the city truly is that large and still missed a lot. Nice memories. A big ciao Angela and grazie Ric

Love this! Love the atmosphere of the festa. Although I like the smaller quieter towns, I also love being in the middle of a celebration. Almost every town in Italy has their own unique celebration. This is a beautiful place too.
@StillWanderer2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed Geraldine, I'm more about "quiet towns" myself as you know well so I can relate...but from time to time it was nice to have a "bath in the crowd" as we say) I will post more about celebrations in the future. I think they can be quite something new for some towns!
@geraldinehadiwidjaja74212 жыл бұрын
@@StillWanderer yes, it would be interesting to watch different celebrations/feasts. You did the strawberry 🍓 not long ago. You could do chocolate, tartufi etc (just a suggestion). The Venice one was huge!

Grazie mille Riccardo!

GREAT tour, Riccardo. It's good to be kids again, periodically. Go back to the Middle Ages, having modern comforts. Die laughing in the stocks, instead of losing your head with the executioner's axe. I seemed to see Dante Alighieri, at the celebration, talking on his mobile phone, perhaps with Hell, Purgatory or Paradise from his Divine Comedy, or with beloved Beatriz. Everything very clean and stony in Volterra. Beautiful gateways to the city, beatiful buildings and charming corners. Beautiful Tuscan landscapes. Convratulations to the builders of the sewage systems, for not destroying the ancient stones of the streets in these beatiful cities. Plague is reported to have struck Volterra in 1.630 and 1.656. And Tuscany already has around 10.000 deaths , with Covid- 19, today. Grazie molto, for the video.

Reminds me of Sutri but on a larger scale. That Region of Tuscany you really need a car. The bus situation to the train is not easy. A long hot day for you. For your viewers I would recommend Massa Marittima which is West. Thanks again.

Very true Ken, in a way it's very close to Sutri. If you didn't write me it here, I wouldn't have associate it with it actually... thank you indeed. A hot and sweaty day, and not easy to film with all the people (camera was bouncing a litle too much I guess... I need to improve in these environments). Ohhhh Massa Marittima is on the "list" already. Whenever I get back there... Always a pleasure Ken to chat here and grazie

Good question Sharon - I have some "stories" about it... (about shops not about people's homes :) Some owners are nice, some others aren't... it's so weird as I'm making free ads to them... well I could write a book on people's reaction to the camera anyway
