I absolutely love this song, for me it is usually uplifting and inspiring, but thinking of Lance's story (Not going into the fact S8 did him dirty) it feels like a emotional cry for wanting to be more. As fans know from earlier seasons, Lance feels less than he is. He wants to be important. This video makes it feel like his dreams of being acknowledged and doing something more than another pilot for the Garrison. That's how I see it and This is really beautiful.

Yeah! definitely, agree I bet if the lance / Keith writers it might have been different although I didn't really the ending much (Still like the show regardless) I will forever love those characters.

It’s so amazing yet so sad....when the verse is about end and when is says, “Mama said don't give up, it's a little complicated All tied up, no more love and I'd hate to see you waiting” or “Mama said don't give up, it's a little complicated, all tied up, no more love and I'd hate to see you waiting, They say it's all been done but they haven't seen the best of me, So I got one more run and it's gonna be a sight to see” like throughout those lyrics, all you see is Lance looking at Keith and just comparing himself to him...since he was always one upping him. In the end you just see him helping Keith, he told him not to worry and they built their relationship from rivals to being each other’s stability....god their relationship is just beautiful.....Lance truly is my fav bc I think everyone can relate to seeing someone so untouchable beat you at EVERYTHING yet you put the same amount of focus and dedication. He acts confident and brave and while he is all of those things, he still feels useless😭😭 damn this video literally made me cry bc you just see Lance constantly told he wouldn’t amount to anything and yet here he is...he’s the right hand man next to Keith, he drives the fastest lion! He’s a hero!!

I know I'm late and nobody will see this, but: This video reminded me why I love Lance and why I love Voltron. After season 8, I was turned off from it all (as many people were), but now I think I'm able to move past what was bad and appreciate what was good. I'm in the process of writing a sort of fix-it fic, and I am now more motivated than I have been in a while to finish it. Thank you. In conclusion, as far as I'm concerned season 8 didn't happen.

So many people raging on him being a farmer yet perhaps it actually makes sense because the thing about long lived species is that they have time to dedicate themselves to thing in sequence so he's a farmer for a couple of decades it's nice routine work that is about growing things for others rather than violence.
