Volume(space inside a 3 dimensional figure) is always measured in cubic units since there are 3 dimensions involved. When we multiply the area πr^2 by height, we’re effectively adding a third dimension to the measurement. Another explanation could be more on the exponents of the units. Since radius and height are both measured in units of length, such as centimeters or meters, the formula’s units combine as follows: 〖(units of length)〗^2×(units of length)= 〖(units of length)〗^3
