My great grandmother and great aunt gardened to the age of 94 and 97 and both passed at 99. My grandmother was an avid gardener as well and I’ve become an avid gardener. I think many families have women and men in their families who created a legacy with their gardens. I loved when she said it’s a country garden because that’s exactly what the women in my family called theirs. I loved this edition! Thanks

The addition of the stump to the garden is perfect! We recently came across a "Stumpery" garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. The placard at the garden explained the history behind these natural scuptures which we were not aware of. It is a style that originated in England.
