80's merc didn't do anything besides of rusting. You gotta remember what Volvo actually developed from the mid 70's 3-point seatbelt and engine brackets that shove the engine and transmission underneath the car. For Volvo it wasnt only style and sound. They actually tried to develop something that would make driving safer, and they did exactly that.

I'm a mechanic and I'm telling you, Volvo Engines are without a doubt some of the best engines ever made, bar none. They are extremely Stout and well laid out, elegant in design with very very high quality components inside and out. It's no wonder that they have a SHIT TON of dormant "hidden" power, just waiting to be unleashed. Maybe some day more people will catch on...until then be prepared to get smoked by one. No Jokey

@@constantfish4526 I bought an old Volvo from gumtree for £800 with 92,000 miles on the clock and it starts every time no problems what so ever I love it it’s at 96000 now only had it for about 7 months, On a really cold day I see other cars struggling to start my Nearly 17 year old Volvo s40 doesn’t miss a beat i wasn’t really a Volvo guy before but now I love them 👌

@@beta400rr2 I'm not sure on the names of the trans, I just know the Supra 5 speed bolts straight on, that's the only transmission I know of that will do that, I've looked around for a 6spd but I've had no luck, hope this helps with the build

Dawid Bułka most likely the m90 tranny or a borg warner t5 with an deeworks transfer plate. i have an s80 with bad trans and an extra 240 shell.

+TR7 TRIUMPH you can clearly see its 6 cylinder engine. Most likely it's from 960, 2.5l 24 valves (b6254) with t6 pistons and crankshaft from 3.0l engine. OR it could be real t6 engine from S80 mk1 (b6284T), or why not from newer S80.
