Is it possible to get google Maps shown on the virtual cockpit via Apple CarPlay? Instead of the standard Volvo navigation (volvo s60 2020)

Hi, very useful tips thank you. I've had a 2020 XC40 from new and have a very frustrating issue, not sure if you've seen this: If I turn the engine off with the phone attached after playing any audio though carplay (which I do a lot) the next time I start the car, it loads FM radio. If I use the broadcast radio it's always DAB, never FM so why is it defaulting to FM? And do you know of a fix? Cheers

I have had a 2024/25 XC40 for a few days and I am supposed to be able to download Waze and Spotify via the Google Play Store. I have an internet connection but it just shows as pending the whole time. Any ideas? TIA.

A volvo this new will have the AOS which works completely different to this in the video.

On my 2018 s90 the screens the same as yours but does not have the outlined usb box in middle compartment. So wont work as i rang volvo they said ure car being the momentum pro does not have this facility and front camera facility on vehicle.

My new volvo only works with CarPlay after I had to purchase an original Apple USB C to lightning connector. None of my other cables worked with it.

Newer volvo with usb c connections have been reported to work with apple cables or apple approved cables. Very strange as the older versions with usb a slots didn't have this problem

Volvo don't offer this feature. You have to buy aftermarket unit to enable full screen

Once it's connected via usb swipe your screen to the right and check options

Hey apple carplay is via cable only

@@carcodesecure thanks, I have it connected by a lighting cable. The phone works, Spotify etc but the apple play screen isn’t visible, or the tab to open it on the car media screen

Wireless carplau being rolled out on newer cars whereas on first gen carplay cars all cars were wired except bmw
