Hello. Thanks. Yes, I do the maintenance of the car. Like oil change, filters and what is needed. I will keep in mind to film that too. Nothing is hard. Its more the balance of cost of tools needed. I do not think there is any reason to have the car serviced other than by yourself if the car has been driven like over 160000 km. You likely will not get the money back when selling.

Christa you got to change the side lights to LED. Also I changed my front orange running light to LED. Looks crisper.

I use the CFE plus as a daytime running light with automatic activation of the low beam when it gets dark. however, I can then no longer use the high beam. To do this, I have to unplug the CFE plus. The function in which the blue high beam symbol in the DIM lights up in the dark does not work either. My vehicle: XC70 engine year 2012.

Hello. Okay, my high beam works but in ”0” on switch at night when automatic low beam is on, high beam dont stay on. But that is logic. When setting switch to low beam, high beam works as it should. Have you tried different firmwares? I have, I think, 4.05 something. You can also check their sopport page. support.swedesolutions.com

Hi mate! very nice videos! I do have a question, I can't decide what to buy! I have a 2005 S60 and I'm ok with it but some people say the 2006 s80 it's even better in terms of comfort !! is that true ?! should I buy one ?! I don't like new cars, especially after 2015 way more complicated for maintenance and expensive !! In my S60 I'm doing a lot of service by myself and I'm not really confident of buying S80 after 2006, what's your opinion about this S80 before or after 2006 !?

Hello G.I Joe. The P3 platform is fine to do your own maintenance on. I myself could not do so much and I also dared to go from my S80 2004 P2 platform. However I did and do not regret it. There is only one thing that I can think of that is not so good on my 2012 S80, and that is if I would need to change the ventilation fan behind dash. Otherwise go for it. If you compare the comfort, in my opinion P2 is a bit more sloppy vs P3. P3 has more solid steering, more firm suspension without beimg stiff. Xenon headlight better. have put in big amount of sound insulation and the car is now pretty quiet. More quiet than I could achieve on the Old S80. You will not regret P3 platform. Still easy maintenance and overall a lovely car. Just do it. Me and others upload videos for P3 in regards to repair and adding features. You should also check out Volvosweden. Yuri is a russian guy in Canada doing excellent repair/maintenance videos on KZbin. Good luck mate.

I'm not that rich😆 so at the moment I'm happy with S60 but soon or later I'll change it so in my scope is old S80 vs Lexus LS430 🤭because of is very cheap 🤑but if to go for new S80 there are other problems Lexus IS/GS for the price !!🤯🤯 .. As you can see it's not easy 🤣😂ANYWAY APPRECIATE FOR YOUR HELP ILL KEEP IN MIND YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS !! 👍👍👍

Hello. Yes, it needs to be connected in order to have the functions. I believe that you can build, with a female obd connector and some wiring a wiring harness to connect on the wires of OBD connector. This way you will have the obd connector free. Note! It might be a conflict if you do this and connect another external device to obd. I am not sure but dont think it would occur.

Hello Patrick. No, the rear lights were still on. However, the front parking lights did not turn on. As in Sweden to follow legal requirement Its okay to have parking lights AND foglight on. Not just foglight. So I needed to do some additional connections for that. This was some time ago and I sent a suggestion to Swedesolutions to add feature of parking and foglights, and I think they did.

I have my first Volvo XC70 2006 and I don't understand this Volvo electronic modules. It is so complicated, why all this features aren't able to switch on by VIDA ??? All brands make plug and play solutions but not Volvo.

Hello. I guess that Volvo did put in features in their software with the intension of release it further on. And that it did not occur. Also by that maybe no software is possible through Vida. But that is my guess. This module is really easy to setup. It gives more features on your P2 platform then on P3.

GuillermoXT Thats strange. It should work for you. When you connect it, turn on ignition and look if engine light flashes. Its like an intiation. After about 15 seconds you should be fine

GuillermoXT P2 platform up to 2004 and 2004 including; will need connection harness. This on S60 / V70 / S80 and XC90.

GuillermoXT one more thing. I used another type of CFE on my 2004 S80. And on that one I could connect harness to the stereo wiring harness. Easy to access and easy to connect. There is 4 wires. But on the install guide for this CFE they have connected directly to CEM.

Köpte en cfe ultra till min V70N och blev riktigt missnöjd.. Schyssta funktioner, men jag fick mer problem än nytta av den.. in/utfällning av speglar hamnade ur synk hela tiden, farthållaren slutade fungera osv osv

Det var ju tråkigt. Är inne på tredje bilen med min cfe. Fungerar bra. Däremot så är supporten totalt värdelös. Det var en funktion jag inte hade så jag programmerade en nyare årsmodell och det fungerar finfint. Kan vara värt att prova.

@@swedemake5571 Funktionerna i sig fungerade, men helt plötsligt kunde den t.ex bara fälla ut ena spegeln vid upplåsning. Då blev jag tvungen att rycka ur en säkring och fälla ut ena spegeln innan jag kunde åka någonstans.. Farthållaren kunde funka en resa ibland för att sen inte fungera på vägen hem osv... Tappade intresset helt så jag ska nog sälja vidare modulen bara
