This was a lot of fun, and as you continue to say "Brick, Brick, Brick...", I was pointing out the models I have owned. This whole review was great!

3:52 I can't believe that this design ended up being on every Volvo car today. Very iconic design now. I've seen so many Volvo concepts, and this design was just right and was put on every Volvo. The Volvo Estate concept deserves to be put into production.

The coupe prototype was designed by current Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath. The Polestar 1 is a the production version of that prototype.

Had a company-owned 244 for a few weeks. No power steering or power brakes. 0-60kph (about 40 mph) in maybe 16 seconds. Built like a tank and drove like one too!

The '53 Volvo Philip looks like a Kaiser body with a slightly different grille. Particularly the rounded roof line and reverse curve of the rear door vent glass (can be seen just ahead of the blue bomb @ 3:46)...as well as a close match on the windshield curves.

To me, the PV-244, the Duett, and the P-1800 are all some of the most beautiful car designs in history. I'd happily have anyone of them.

The Volvo 242GT, was the only car where I felt I had driven like a boss. I took a road trip from San Diego, CA., to El Paso, TX. across the border to Chihuahua and finally to Mexico City and back. Sometime at night across the Chihuahua desert, I finally got to see the coyote catch the roadrunner. The next night, in the middle of the Durango desert, I got tired of following a truck hauling a cargo; big mistake. Having accelerated to get close to the truck, I finally was overtaking it... unfortunately just as a curve was beginning. At the apex of the curve, the 242 started to fishtail!! Eeeek! Now I have never had any sort of training for racing, but I handled that curve like a boss. Instinctively, I counter steered 2 or 3 times until I regained control of the car... on a curve. YEE HAW!! Take that Räikkönen, in your face Mansell. (hey, I was delirious). I drove my trusty Volvo to the next roadside cafe, whereupon the truck I had passed arrived shortly. Turns out my tires were spitting out rocks as the 242 was fishtailing and I ended up breaking the truck's windshield. The driver was not mad, instead he was somewhat concerned for my well-being. His insurance paid for damages. In the theory of the multiverse, my other self was not so lucky and rolled down the embankment. I take comfort though, that I was driving a Volvo. Still, I don't care to truly find out if their fame for safety is true. p.s. Oh, and that trucks cargo... it was coffins. wonderful.

Thus us probably tge funniest vid I've seen in ages... And yes... Brick... Brick.... Oooh! Brick.... The hell are you?! The I still like the 480es but I heard bad things about the electrics... P1800 is probably the most perfect design ever... And I own a Dutch/Belgian made v40.. Hmmm I need a beige 240 estate to make into a sleeper! Keep up the humour, and the vids my man.... gonna search for more

You forgot to mention anything about the Volvo 121/122S/Amazon model from the late 50s and 60s that could maybe be the best looking car of that era. And the station wagon that was released as a post production more than five years later than the original 4-door salon to me is the best looking car Volvo Cars ever built.
