I drive a vnl in Canada, I’m originally from Britain, Volvo are finally implementing the features that we have had in our Volvos in Europe for many years
@pauljohn663711 ай бұрын
Alan. You will not believe how many times I’ve been demoted for saying such things in the States. VOLVO really changed the market here in the late 80s and continue to be the leader. As we know they did the same in Britain in the 70s with the mighty F88. I took a Truck & Driver magazine to a safety meeting years ago to prove the European trucks were way ahead of North American trucks and had the magazine confiscated.😀🏴🇺🇸
@alansharp501711 ай бұрын
I totally get it. I left the uk 15 years ago and my brand new vnl has the exact dash as then, yet the European version has been upgraded a long time ago. We had air suspension front and rear. Fully adjustable rear suspension, and of course the seats are totally different. I cannot understand why North American trucks are so far behind

@@t_q1799SCS did it twice actually with two Western Star models. The 49X launched into the real world on September 29,2020 and it released the next day in ATS. On August 2, 2022, the 57X released in both real life and ATS! I seriously don't think it will happen with the all new Volvo VNL but we can be surprised. The outgoing model (2018-2024) came suddenly out of nowhere last year. The only information SCS gave to community about it was when they went to Volvo Trucks North America headquarters! 😅

What a wonderful looking rig! I thought the outgoing model would be produced until at least 2030! Seems like Volvo really wants to reclaim their throne! When the 1st generation VNL was introduced in 1996, Volvo did set the standard of aerodynamism, modern design and fuel effiency because there wasn't any other truck model that could come close to it back then. Since, all the brands released their competitors, but, in 2021, Kenworth pushed the limits with their T680 Next Gen. Now Volvo once again shook the truck world with the perfect reply! It's actually the 1st time the whole design completely changed since the VNL's inception! Thumbs up Volvo! 👏
@SamsUtahRailfanningAdventures11 ай бұрын
Yeah! The chassis fairings look just like a Kenworth Next Gen T680 with how they have the black towards the back, and the cab extensions basically look almost like a Peterbilt, with how the rubber is past the fairings
@stop_lying_bro11 ай бұрын
Wow, i always said the European FH was way better but i think the VNL just changed my mind! The design is aggressive yet very elegant. It remind me of a Luxury Yacht. The interior is very well thought out and put together. Integrations of digital displays mixed with wood strikes the perfect balance of modern yet classic. The large opposing grill actually plays into the overall aesthetic wonderfully.

Congratulations!!! someone finally solved the bunk area. It's great you are the best and it is perfect. It's just a decade late. You've finally pulled out all the stops right when the driver is no longer needed. Because according to the media we are on the cusp of just that. I hope all of this great design doesn't go to waste. This is a sweet ride and I don't think I'll ever operate anything other than a Volvo and I'm speaking from the 2012 model. I've spent enough time learning all of the issues and how to deal with them that it would be a waste to learn any other truck. You have been making a dang good product. I bought mine at around 53x,xxx miles or so on it. One company had already made their money from it and traded it in. I bought it and went from cooking in a kitchen for a living to owning my own small business and I have now firmly finished the foundation after some years of operating and now my truck is approaching the million mile mark. I'm thinking it's going to be a 1.3 or 1.4 million mile truck before a rebuild. I'm hoping anyway.
Amazing truck! Glad to see the result after many years of project

I saw the live performance and it was spectacular. There are other brands that want to present supposed electric trucks with a groundbreaking design, nothing that has not been seen before such as the concept of Mack in the movie "The Island", or concepts of MAN, Scania and other brands. In this case, VOLVO showed that it is really possible to continue making groundbreaking designs without losing the appearance of what we know as trucks, in this case the conventional ones. Congratulations to the whole team for the result

Please tell me you have finally addressed the mirror issues. The mirrors are our best friend, but the bane of our existence is how nasty the mirrors get in inclement weather. They become almost useless with the road spray. Other than that really like that you have finally gotten over the dash shift and the new interior is very nice.

Questions as.far.batteries are the arms? What are the engine options and what can we.expect fuel mileage wise,efficiency and most importantly maintenance wise, durability with the clutch, def system, after treatment, nox sensors, type of batteries from regulargroup 31 too group 31 AGMS? Suspension options front air ride, etc? Options as far interior comfort, durability and options as far apu's, inverters,etc?? I've had two 780, this 2nd one is paid for but I'm still having unexpected issues from a new clutch, to after treatment issues... Looking forward to testing this model too possibly owning one ,one day!! Good luck and embrace the evolution of Volvo- change for the better!! Keep leading the way...
