@MorozovAutomotive I needed to replace a boot strut (electric trunk/tailgate lifter) which had become faulty (the common loud popping sound these develop) and this video was incredibly useful so thanks for making it. For those needing to do the same, you only need to remove 4 of the panels - The one where the belt is which slides forward - The one with the belt guide where you remove the bolt and then pop upwards. - The long one down the side of the door - The one you pull out from the bottom then slide down with the 3 tabs at the top The connector for the cable is in the area of the speaker (though I don't have this as no upgraded sound system option). The connector is pushed in to the bodywork on 2 plastic pins, carefully pull this away so the cable hangs free, press in the retaining tab on the connector and disconnect. From the outside pop out the rubber seal where the cable goes into the body. There is a cable guide you will need to remove inside the hole through the body, this clips onto the frame of the inner hole with a metal spring, just slide it toward the centre of the hole. From there you can pull the cable out, get someone to hold/prop the boot lid open as one strut won't be enough to hold it (a big piece of wood works well). Then remove the existing strut by popping a screwdriver under the retaining clip and twisting it off the ball joints. Assembly is the reverse of disassembly. I replaced with a like for like genuine Volvo part (albeit a used one) and it just worked; no fault codes or issues with opening. I can't however speak for the third party options which are available though these may be the same.
