Hello Thomas, greetings from Australia. What time did you arrive back in Wolkenstein? What time did the bus to return from Kronplatz leave? Did you have time to do many runs from the summit towards Bruneck?

Hi Gary, I will add all times in the video description later. Due to the bad weather (high temperature, most pistes consisted of slush) I did not spend the whole day at Kronplatz although there are numerous very nice slopes (long with altitude difference more than 1000 m of all difficulties).

Here are the main times (either start or end of underlying video): Start at Selva (Wolkenstein): 08:49 am Colfosco, Borest cableway: 09:25 am Corvara, Col Alt cableway: 09:37 am Piz la Ila: 10:04 am Skibus stop: 10:39 am Piculin cableway: 10:52 am (= approx. 12 min by Bus) Reischach (Bruneck), final destination: 12:29 pm ... but not directly, before I did the Piculin descent (causing a delay of approx. 20 min) and the ERTA twice (delay approx. 15 min) As mentioned, due to the slushy pistes I only did one descent to Bruneck and quickly returned to the ski bus arriving there in the break at 13:57 pm. I left the ski bus at La Villa at 14:42 pm and arrived at Selva at 16:38 pm. If you like to see, first full runs are already available in my channel and more will follow during the Christmas season. Next time I go to the Dolomites in February. If there will be better weather (colder!), I will definitely do the trip to Kronplatz again to enjoy the pistes with better condition. Best regards from Berlin, Germany

Hi Thomas, thanks for detailing the times. It looks like you wouldn’t have had time to do more runs at Kronplatz and still make it back to Wolkenstein before the lifts closed. I will be in Arabba from the 11th of January for 2 weeks and plan to do a day trip to Kronplatz while I’m there. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and great snow conditions in the New Year!

@@garyholland4227 January sounds great! I have been in the Dolomites for the first time in January 2022: 8 days with blue sky and perfect skiing conditions. Unfortunately, I must go end of February again since my daughter only can go at this time. Hope that your wishes become true. Arabba also sounds great. In case you have similar weather like me in January, best slopes of Arabba starting at Porta Vescovo are on the north side, thus not so much affected by sunshine. As you mention Arabba: You must reach Piz la Ila. From there, you can follow my route. Enjoy the days of summer and Merry Christmas too, Thomas

Und wie ging es wieder zurück?
@Bperennis8 күн бұрын
