We're missing you, Stiv. One of the most seductive voices in rock n' roll.

I saw them play at the Grotto in New Haven Connecticut in the mid 80s. It was a literal underground club. GREAT show!!!

Same, Electric Avenue in Orlando. 85 or early 86? Stiv climbed on top of the amps during Russian Roulette and made a noose with the mic cord; threw it over a rafter and put it on his neck; made like he might do it. Screamed a few lines with something-something "Ian Curtis" and something then "Y'all f***in' suck!" in a stream-of-consciousness nonsense rant 🤬 The show was great, but the only vivid detail I remember is that minute in the middle of Russian Roulette. So good, but a moment of pure rock star hedonism overrode all other vivid memories of the set 🤟

Indeed he was. Not just a great frontman, but a genuinely nice guy, hilarious, and a real character... both on stage and off. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore.

I saw them a couple years later in 1986 minus the record label (IRS) and minus the keyboards. With an extra guitar player the way it should have been from the start. Great show.

Steve Bator is so loaded, I've seen this concert complete and on one of the songs he falls down and the other guys have to wait for him to wake up. He was wasted.
@Brewzerr6 жыл бұрын
The story I heard is that Stiv was hanging out with a few of the guys from Hanoi Rocks that day, and they copped some really strong, pure dope. It definitely shows here, but it makes for a truly funny and entertaining show. They weren’t always this wasted. I saw them in ‘82 on their first tour, and Stiv was much more ‘together’.
