I just bought myself 2 of these active vonyx SPJ1000A Pa Speakers and I am Impressed with the sound quality and they have a bit more bass then my old Passive Pa Speakers

Great vid, you said it'll lose bass if higher on the stands, have you tried having one on the stand and one on the ground to give more bass?

in my experience it has been like that, i haven't tried one on stand and one on ground haha. i havent even though of that tbh

I have sum 15 inch great sound loud and clear love them I do a lot off outdoor gigs with them they do a great job good bass and top end sound for a cheap price 268 English pound for 2 speakers

Is your 15 “ sub active or passive, and how do you connect it from the active speaker here?

Active sub. I’d run audio to sub and then to the speakers.

now that these have been discontinued, i've been eyeing up the replacements, particularly the vsa15p because i want some with a bottom end and already have a lot of amplification to hand. have you had a look over the new series? would be happy to lend them to you for review if you're in sa, but otherwise i imagine shipping will be a nightmare to manage.

I have the vonyx vsa15bt I would recommend them over the vsa15p because the passive ones blow easily because they over rate the speaker but I have done a wedding with my vsa15bt with about 100 to 150 people and I was impressed

@@kailumgg7736 i ended up grabbing a pair of the passives, i'd say they're worth about 200w max, they sound pretty great and should last with an 80hz crossover point with my passive subs. i'll probably upgrade my kit at some point in the next couple of years to a pair of active icoas with subs and leave the passive system installed in a venue.

@@tahmeed1202 i think the new products are probably very similar, internally my passives have the same drivers as shown in your video, they just have a hefty crossover mounted to the back instead of an amplifier.

I personally did not have any experience with the 12 inches, However i'd assume two 10 inches would have nicer sound as a stereo pair. although the 12 inch may get a bit extended low end response

They’re just stand alone active speakers. You can connect them to anything you want with proper audio cable routing!
