@@skygamer_bro Complex engines, like the R-2800 have reduction gearboxes that are intolerant of having the prop drive them rather than torque from the engine. You have to plan your power reductions rather that chopping the power to idle. You also cannot extend flaps and gear at just any speed. Read the manual and limitations.

@@ellischernoff8603 Interesting. I know these aircraft are quite complex to fly and this makes them more appealing for flight simulation. I suppose this is why PMDG opted to add an Assistant Flight Engineer onboard. I am aware of the flaps limitations but at this first flight I felt overwhelmed given the complexity and unfamiliarity with the aircraft and its systems. Thank you for the tips!

You had better read a flight manual before you try this again. So many things done wrong. You cannot lower flaps at that speed and you should never idle the engines in flight.

Thank you sir. First time flying the DC-6 and it is way different than modern jets. Most of my problems were related to the Auto Flight Engineer that unabled me from controlling the aircraft the way I wanted and the autopilot in this aircraft is another issue I have to learn better. Stay tuned for more videos like this and let's see if I get some improvement. Are you familiar with DC6?

You have failed your checkride sir. Go back to flight school
