@@adekaiwamisou Based on the speedruns I've seen, and my personal playthrough of the original, the remaster added a lot of bugs. (Which is good for speedrunners, but bad for casual players.) ... The reason for this, so I've heard, is that the original ran on a custom specialised engine, while the remaster was made on a generic industry standard one.

A bit of a spoiler if you didn't play or watched someone play the full game of Voodoo Vince. According to Madame Charmaine in the beginning of the game, since Vince is a voodoo doll, many dangerous things can't harm him. She did state, however, to beware of Evil Magic and that Kosmo and his monsters can harm Vince. I think that anytime Vince is attacked by an enemy, he takes damage because the monster is created by Evil Magic, which can harm him. However, if he hurts himself in a way that doesn't involve Evil Magic, like being hit by a train or being zapped by lighting, he can just transfer the pain to someone else. After all, that's how you harm multiple enemies in the game. To shorten it up, if the attack was from something with Evil Magic, Vince will get hurt. If the attack doesn't involve Evil Magic, Vince can transfer the pain to someone else. That's just what I think though. I could be totally wrong, or I could've hit the target as to why Vince needs to dodge enemy attacks.
