I did this 5 years ago and was in the same seat as him. My girlfriend was in her seat and it was scary at first, because there ain't much to hold on to, but I enjoyed it. She squealed the whole time and I kept laughing. Watching this video you realize how short the ride really is and, yes I did all three rides on the Stratosphere.

It's healthy to have that kind of fear though because it stops you from getting into dangerous situations and gets you out of them real quick (as long as you don't freeze of course!) He's basically imagining the whole time that something might go wrong and he'll fall while she is satisfied with the safety aspect and is just going along for the ride. :)

Well tbf chair lifts are a bit slower and there is snow underneath to cushion the fall (not like it would do anything at height the voodoo line is at). Plus the bar in front can’t be lifted unless you physically commit to move it over your head, instead of a car seat belt with a push button latch…

2 things: 1) that is the HARDEST he has ever prayed in his life 2) the ride attendant laughs on the inside everytime someones pays to ride it he knows he is NEVER EVER gonna get on that ride. He knows what time it is!!
