The new yarn color and new quilt are beautiful. The shawls colors are amazing.

When I volunteered for the local humane society I noticed they had a lot of kennel quilts. These are quilted rectangles around 12" x 18" made out of cotton batting and quilting cotton. The cats ADORE them. Laundry is actually a huge endeavor for most shelters, and these thinner pads dry so much better and faster than the bulkier beds (which usually can only be washed a few times before falling apart). I would check with your local humane society, as not all shelters use this type of bedding. Our local quilter's guild has been keeping the kitties extra cozy for years. The cats really appreciate them. They will always choose a spot with a kennel quilt if it's available. Unless there is a sun spot available, then its ALWAYS the sun spot. Might be a good way to scratch your quilting itch without breaking the bank.

What a stunning quilt, yes I agree 1/2 square triangles not my favourite. It sure turned out very pretty.

Thank you and right?! I realize HSQs need to be as accurate as possible otherwise all those little "off" increments add up and suddenly you've got a super wonky quilt. lol

OMG - the Tineola is such a beautiful accent accessory! Of course, the color is stunning! And, as always, love seeing your quilt projects - this is so amazing!

The quilt top is gorgeous! I just started a flying geese project with Halloween fabrics and used my EQ8 for designing as well. I have used it since EQ3, awesome program. I would love to see a quilt you design.

Pattern reminds me of Flying Geese. I had the 1st edition of EQ many, many moons ago. Had a bunch of 3-1/2 squares leftover and made a quilt for the top of our electric dryer. Small quilts from scraps make nice doll blankets.
@Voolenvine Жыл бұрын
It does, doesn't it! If using less colors, I'm sure the pattern could be hacked to make flying geese instead of so many HSTs🤪

Your Tineola Shawl is one of my most favorite shawls that you have knit. 🧶It is beautiful and I love the detail. Great job on the Lady Of the Lake Quilt Top also. 👏🏾

Your sock tutorial was excellent. That’s how I learned to knit socks. You get to the point which I really appreciate. I’m sure your quilt tutorial will be great as well. Looks like I’ll be jumping into another craft. Thank you for being so generous in sharing your skills! 🧶🧦🪡🧵

You have such a gift for putting colours together. The program for mocking up the design is brilliant. I’d like something like that for choosing knitwear colours too. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much, Joanne! It was challenging with so many little pieces 😂 I think it was also luck that I had enough pieces of each color for each block. 😅 AHhh! An app for choosing color combos in knitting would be brilliant!

Your sock pattern is my favourite go to. The tutorial is the best I’ve seen. Thanks to your lucid explanations, I have it in my head as my default way to knit socks. Currently using it as the basis for a lace sock in combination with pattern 100 from The Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible, which is so fun to do and is turning out beautifully. You’re the best, Kristin, thank you 🤗

Have you found a batting that you like? I’m looking for something that’s more soft and drapey. Only made a couple quilts so far with cotton batting and even with many washes, they’re still more stiff than I prefer. I’ve heard wool is nice. And have seen some wool blends. 💜 ✂️ 🧡✂️💜

Okay, so…I got happy mail today and I’m soooo excited to get it caked up and cast on! Yup! Got my first Wolke Dirty on Purpose! Yay! Anyhoo…I’m thinking I may try that Tineola shawl with it! I think my niece-in-love Amy will absolutely love the pattern and the color! I am working on Christmas stocking for all the little great-nephews and niece(yep, one and only)but they’re very busy colorwork and so this week, I too, cast on a sock(Heel toe dosido by Crazy Sock Lady) bc I just needed something I didn’t have to concentrate extremely hard on bc there was too much going on around here! Sometimes the brain just says no…nope gonna think that hard! Lol! But it all works out in the end! Anyway, have a great weekend!

I am getting interested in getting into quilting. Do you have any updates to your Wildes Meer? I’m confused as the stitch count on row 5 page 8 is the same as row 3. Page 7. Also I’m on chart b and eager to finish.

Hey! Just curious. How much fabric from the fabric set did you have left after finishing the lady of the lake quilt top?
