I was just watching the dev tutorial. He said if you get too aggressive, the other kingdoms will help to even the stability. Pretty cool mechanic, requires other methods to expand at times.

Oh come on, so many kingdoms and you are showing us a 3rd Briterkind gameplay. I have seen you play them so much that i will even touch then when the game releases. Another nation, Cardyar seems nice :D Also i belive but i'm not 100% sure the Dev said that once you get too big the AI will target you.

When i'm testing a bunch of changes it's easier to use a kingdom i'm familiar with so i can move through things faster. I'm playing this one all the way through though and plan to play the bad guys (Servants of Dreul) next so i can see what they are about and give feedback. besides, a large amount of those 'so many kingdoms' have absolutely no chance of survival given the low unit count, high time and material cost, and darwinian dogpile nature of the game. most of them are just chum for the sharks.

are all thesse humans? or are there nations with different species? can you do things like in eu4 with culture conversion etc or mixing cultures like in anbennar? AKA half-elves / orcs. and what nation is the strongest starting wise?

All the kingdoms are variations of human cultures/religions/outcasts/etc. It's a light-medium weight wargame first and foremost with some basic rpg elements with the hero's and dungeons. it's not a 4x or a grand strategy game. Warrick is the oldest kingdom and most powerful at the start (it's the only one with an 'easy' rating when you are selecting kingdoms).

​@@VormithraxOh I see, thanks for the quick reply! IDK if you know shadow empire or not, but I guess it won't be as detailed as that game.. Should we be expecting more development and DLC'S? I honestly don't mind supporting these types of games.

@@snowball7990 I know shadow empire well. shadow empire is more of a heavy weight wargame/4x hybrid. very different levels of detail and focus.

@@Vormithrax mhm! did u know you could play shadow empire through the stream sharing ability of steam? i did a campaign with three other friends thru my computer, it was pretty fun.
