I love Vorpx.. I use it everyday.... Lots of games work perfectly in Full stereo 3D with 1 click (DirectVR feature).... Some need some tweaking but you could always just download someone else's profile for that game. It does take some time, practice and knowledge to make a profile from scratch but it's fun and worth it because in the end you can have an fully immersive experience. I think Vorpx is great for people like me who like to tweak settings and mod games. I agree that it's not that best for people who want every game to work with just 1 click. (unless your game has "DirectVR" support) ... then no tweaking is needed... Vorpx supports Direct 9, 10, 11, and open GL so if your playing via emulation there are other options.

I certainly do not expect games that were not built to be VR, to be like VR. You said it, it is a matter of expectations. I certainly like adding value to my devices, and it does do that for my headset. With all due respect to your opinion, Cyberpunk is amazing with it, so is GTAV, and Bioshock remastered, which increases my heart rate when I play it with Vortx. Is it like Alyx or Saints and Sinners, of course not!

Nah, Vorpx is great. I'll tell you though, I did not have a good experience the first time I tried because I did not fully understand the settings. Once I went back it with a bit more knowledge I got the real deal. Full VR or immensive screen or Cinema, its awesome.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been trying and I'm good. When I looked into it it it was selling an immersive experience not a 3d one. I couldn't get a refund

Have to agree with Aaron here. The moment I tried Outlast in VR, I KNEW I did the right thing picking it up. Was pretty damn intense lol

Vorpx has a full VR mode and you can look around. Some games it doesn't work but a lot of games it does work.

Thanks for this. I only heard about Vorpx because I was looking into Star Trek Online and wondering if I can play that in VR. It'll be nice to be on DS9 or other locations in the Star Trek universe.

not really here to combat your opinion or anything but vorpx is well worth its price tag if you have a vr headset. ill give a couple reasons why. -any game will show up in your headset, with or with out full 3d support don't sleep on the cinema mode really well done. which def adds value to having a vr headset in the first place. -contrary to this video if you learn the steps to set up (a lot of steps ill admit but well worth it) some games support full VR which allows for free look. -first person shooters just play better in general in vr which ever setting you decide to use. this is just my opinion on it though i hope you decide to launch vorpx some more and start playing through some things its actually pretty awesome.

Thanks I appreciate the input. I mainly made this video because of the $40 price tag and I couldn't get a refund. I thought I would have a fully immersive experience with every game but that is a lie. I already have a 3D TV, 3D Projector and 3D monitor. I'm good on the stereoscopic 3D and I don't have to use my VR set to enjoy it. Now I am forced to keep this app especially when there are much cheaper alternatives. When I played with the setting for the "Full VR" experience all it did was remove my Hud or enlarge it and had the Stereoscopic monitor follow my heads movements instead of being "in" the environment. But to each their own. The refusal of a refund on a product is a slimy practice in my book so I made the video.

I don't think you're using Geometry 3D mode, and if you did, you didn't well, vorpx uses a screen on your face, yes, but the geometry mode with its settings helps you to achieve very good results, i'm using pimax 8kx with it and i love playing my old favorite games Z-adaptive isn't good tho, i prefer z-normal if geometry isn't supported ij the game, but overall there's immersion, can't believe someone with poor knowledge does a bad rating video against the only one program that does what it does, better 30bucks spent on a good app than a montly fee for a stupid program like tridef

Yes VorpX isn't perfect but man when it works with the right game its worth it in my opinion. Death stranding and Horizon zero dawn on VorpX is wayyyyy better than my 34 inch ultrawide monitor.

Thanks bro, I kept seeing videos of this software and it really looked like a full immersive experience from their vids. The google search results made me suspicious, but this review confirms the sad truth. I was so hyped to play bioshock in vorpx, but looks like I’ll have to wait for an official VR port

No problem glad I was able to help. Some like their set up but I don't think many talked about actual immersion. I was under the impression it immersed all games which it does not. Hopefully one day soon

i have had vorpx for months and i can say its worth every fucking penny. some amazing games look and run beautifully its actually mind blowing. same quality as a full vr port full geometric 3d even the lower option z 3d which runs better is still as immersive as 3d. i can name some games right now that are perfect and alone are worth the 40 bucks. portal portal 2 half life black mesa F.E.A.R bioshock (i can confirm is bad ass) Mirrors edge is absolutely perfect and you get fully immersed one of my most immersive experiences in vr and runs so great. sure you have to use controller or keyboard but who cares sometimes you wanna sit and relax and escape into these worlds. not to mention playing some third person games in cinema mode with 3d effect is bad ass ive been playing dark souls 3 and its crazy if you wanna visit some crazy video game worlds in vr and be immersed i can say you will get that experience. only drawback is i highly recommend having a 1080 ti or above at the least a 1070. www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/good-full-vr-games-for-beginners/

I picked up vorpX recently with no expectation of it having full VR. It's cool for what it is... for where it works. Their "supported games" list is practically meaningless. I've tried a couple games listed so far and they've had distracting graphical glitches and/or just crash. These aren't even new games either, and this is the state it's in after developing for over 10 years? It's far too much for the state it's in and I'm starting to feel like I've been robbed.

You dont know what you are doing. Vorpx gives you full VR - But its still really crap software. If you spend ages getting a game to work right, next time you start the game it wont be the same. You have to start all over again.

Dolphin is emulator for wii and gamcube games, Vorpx is for pc games....

You can use Vorpx for PC apps too. I used DolphinVR as an example because I thought Vorpx would give me the same immersion. Vorpx is just a giant 3ds screen to your face

This is literally the only bad review I've seen of Vorpx, and you're playing a really old game that's clearly not meant to be played in Vorpx. Something like Doom (2016) or Far Cry 5 would work far better.

I've tried my entire steam library. It doesn't change the fact that you aren't immersed into your games like DolphinVR or remakes like Skyrim and Borderlands. It's just a 3D player. I wish it was advertised like that instead of saying it can immerse me into any game. Also there are many threads on Reddit tearing Vorpx apart.

Let's also not bring up the fact how much power you need to even run the current games. I had to play with my settings to play Resident Evil 3, Call of Duty and others. Let's not even talk about Flight Sim 😂 Don't know if that's current enough for you.

@@supernerdentertainment1177 Doesn't change the fact that this is the only bad review of the product on YT and you only showed a really old game that's not even supposed to played using this software. As far as hardware goes, I can play Microsoft Flight Simulator at 4k natively and have been doing so since the alpha. Sounds like you have a less powerful PC rig than me, so your issues are probably hardware related. Skyrim doesn't need Vorpx, it has a VR version. I've seen people things such as Doom using this software with great success.

In the video this is all explained. Im showing what Vorpx said it can do in another program. If you would like to see this huge difference just let me know and I'll post it. I'll just post another video showing all you can do is look at at 3d screen and zoom in really close if you want

@@supernerdentertainment1177 youre showing the worst possible scenario and using it as some sort of end all be all to "wait cause its not forreal". talk your shit all you want, but maybe learn a bit more about how to use the program and other mod tools for re3 and re2 to fix most of the issues youre talking about it. you seem to be understandably justified in you being upset, but it is because you don't have a full grasp and are judging it thru rose colored glasses that make you see it as shit cause what, its not perfect. youre an absolute idiot if you think it was going to be, but tbh its performed perfectly fine for me. some games are as good as vr games. some are fps games with a vr helmet, still amazing, and worth. you came in expecting too much without doing enough research. that is what happened here.
