Experiment easy to replicate: Motor 12 volts- Battery 12 volts- Rheostat wire chrome- 2 Neodymium magnet- Various floating objects- Plastic container or glass- Glass. *The sizes can be varied at will. The magnets are glued with hot glue at the top of the motor. The gun-shaped object was in use on an old playstation.

Awesome vid love the clear demonstration as commented below. Some interesting variables could be utilized here like more distance between motor and spinning magnet to check how motors dielectric field influences results. Or a second motor and magnet in combinations of reverse polarity, voltage, location/orientation and floating object materials. A coil wrapped around the bottle with different polarity running through it. thought that might be interesting just to keep things in the 20v range

Kryon talked about extracting all impurities in water using strong magnets and he said the water will have healing properties. I imagined it as water falling and strong magnets around it pulling all pollution in it to the sides so only pure water comes down and it is ionized so healing properties (probably same as alkaline things cure cancer).

lol. How much water? Water kind of container? How big of magnets would you need? How much spin would they need? To ultimately light the light bulb within this experiment as it is plunged into the depths of the water in motion? Perhaps an extra element would be required, to make it even more possible that you have considered.

Very cool experiment. ;) Can you rotate this experiment upside down? I mean to put motor and outside magnets on top of water container fully filled with water with a lid of course, then put inside magnets just under lid. So first you put lid under motor and outside magnets and put inside magnets under lid so they hold lid together with motor and magnets then just put lid over container. But first put some object that don't float on water, like some rock. I wonder will that rock go up in vortex or not? Will there be any vortex at all because container i full with water and siled with lid??? :)

Anyone got any links on how to determine what shape propeller (or I guess in this case, paddle) is best to create a vortex like this and why? I see this guy has used magnets snapped together so has ended up with a long, round 'propeller' but I think that's just because magnets snap together that way, not because it's the best shape. Certainly doesn't look very efficient. I'm wondering if a flat paddle, fed from a motorised shaft would achieve the end result at far lower RPM, and in the end make this idea more controllable on a larger scale.

I dont think this is specifically because of magnetic materials, you could just probably do the experiment with a blender and it would create a vortex too. This is just my guess, you would have to get a blender with a cylinder shaped slightly conical tube and then put a cylinder to replace the blade component. Later I might try the blender I have at home but its not the right shape.

I seen many videos how to make this and I really want to, it's so great. What's stopping me from completing it is the magnets in the water won't turn with the magnets on the motor because as I slowly turn up the speed of the motor the water magnets unattaches from the motor magnets so the motor magnets turn on it's own and I can't understand why. The magnets seems to contact by stopping the motor from rotating but after a little more power they immediately separate. The magnets I use are pretty strong but could it still be not strong enough? I don't know what's wrong.

@@viktorens10 The magnet in contact with the water rotates, this causes the water to experience centrifugal forces just like a centrifugal pump, the liquid there moves towards the wall of the container and the middle part, (the axis of rotation) has zero centrifugal force, r=0. Hence the rotating water moves to the side hence a vortex is left in the middle. force, F=Mr(omega squared)
