I like the ortholinear grid for the top row because you can replace caps, you get an extra key, and the busy/complicated aesthetic looks good to my eye.

Question, is possible to execute macro without Fn button? For example, if i want create macro on Shift, can i execute with Shift only or need to press stupid Fn+Shift :)

I do like that the function row has no spacing I feel it's a waist of space I usually use a portable setup with a laptop stand and out my keyboard right against the stand legs the closer I can get my laptop to me the better

Thanks for mentioning the ping! Did the foam help against the ping? I recently returned a ducky board since I really can’t stand the ping.

Hi, since the video,I found that most ping comes from the switch springs rather than the keyboard. The foam did help, but probably only in dampening the existing ping. For the most comprehensive solution, I'd recommend lubing your springs

Vortex boards are fine I guess, though I think they are a secondary product to their keycap manufacturing. The biggest reason I can't really get behind them is the low profile, no angle cases, and uniform profile keycaps on almost all of their boards.

I got the same model, VTG-8200 Vortex Race 3 RBG, and for the life of me, I can't make the lights to work. Only the space bar and capslock are lit, and when following the steps to program others lights/colours, nothing works. Any ideas what might be wrong?

A lot of the newer designs sacrifice too much to save a little space IMO. I prefer the key clusters of a TKL - the board scans much faster. Agree with you about the use of colour. I admit, however, that I am a little smitten with Vortex Vibe for floating key design. The keys sounded awful to me, except for the spacebar, which has no rattle.

Foam makes a huge difference! Excellent keyboard, not perfect by any means, though. Mainly because of the weak tiny case: I like them substantial and with legs.

Is there any place I can get a case like this without having to buy an entire keyboard? I'm making a custom 75%, but it's so hard finding a gorgeous low profile case like this.

You can look at kbdfans or AliExpress, but custom cases for 75% are uncommon and one in this style most likely non-existent

They're pretty standard fare aluminum cone feet. Maybe on the smaller side. I like that they mount from the bottom, so that you don't have to open up the keyboard

There are 3 little thing I don't like about this board and was the reason why I didn't buy it. 1) I want full programmability 2) I want the option to add led even solder them my self is ok. 3) I don't like the case it's too thin and I don't like floating keys. Btw I just assembled my tada68 really really happy with it. I would only re solder a different color led on the caps lock perhaps red. And I haven't got qmk running yet on my Mac

Red switches are pretty unpopular, and switches don't often completely change the keyboard. The vortex vibe is a very similar keyboard that I did a review of in the past. Check that out for sound tests and brief opinions

May I know where did you get the foam for the keyboard? And it fit right out of the box or did you have to cut it?

Its just regular old craft foam sold in rolls on Amazon. 3mm thick for this one. I cut it to shape, and punched out the holes for the standoffs
