Jerry is amazing. His wisdom and experience can teach most any level shooter how to get better and stay that way. Learning trigger control with a DA revolver is one of the best tips there is. Many years ago I started with 1911’s and became a bit “spoiled” with the triggers in them. After running a DA wheelgun for a while I realized what true trigger control and trigger timing was all about. This subsequently carried over to the 1911’s, rifles and shotguns and took my proficiency to a whole new level. This man’s view is not only science but teaches the art of the shooting sports. Guys like him and Rob Leatham can advance all of us if listened to and learned from. Thanks for having Jerry on.

The information Jerry is providing has layers of lessons baked into it, you can just keep learning from his knowledge over and over, as I would imagine you can with lessons taught from anyone who has become a master of their craft. This video is definitely going on my favorites list.

One of the things I've observed in this discussion is there's many more things happening in a shooting event than the brain chooses to focus on. Training the mind to focus on the relevant things and tune out the irrelevant is the most difficult part of discipline, because it's often a focus that is not natural.

I love his description of how the adrenaline rush eventually becomes a gift. After several years of competitive shooting for the USAMU, I finally got to that point when I could use that energy in certain matches. Especially, Infantry Trophy (IT) matches (on left or right swing position) and in long rang coached pair fire as number one or two shooter. We had to call our shots honestly and accurately (pair fire) and shoot fast ( IT and Long Range team fire). Oh God-I can feel the rush right now after 30 years. Thanks Jerry.

There is so much In formation in this video that people do not know at all and hence the question producing that information is never asked. Commentators were smart enough to trust Jerry to.provide information shooters would never otherwise hear.Consiser this:Jerry might ve a better teacher than he is a shooter, a world champion

The only man who was great was Jesus: the only man who ever took the sin of mankind upon himself and made a way for the human race to be able to have heaven as his eternal home. The bible says that (Romans 3:10 - KJV) There is none righteous, no not one. There is nothing that anyone knows that was not learned. Mr. Michulek (I hope I spelled his name correctly) has honed the particular skill of shooting throughout his life. The most important question for anyone is where they will spend eternity after their last breath on earth. There is a natural man and a spiritual man. The natural man is the small amount of time we spend on earth. After our last breath on earth, each one of us inherits our spiritual body and will spend eternity (our long home) in either heaven or hell. I will trade what I can't keep here on earth (fame or money) for what I cannot lose in eternity (my salvation). Want to know how you can have heaven as your long home? Read Romans 10:9-10 & 13. Even so, come, Lord Jesus Rev 22:20 KJV

An off-topic observation: The young man on the left is wearing an Omega Speedmaster Professional wristwatch. Except for a few internal parts, it's identical to the first wristwatch worn on the moon when Buzz Aldrin stepped off the ladder. Neil Armstrong also had one but left his hanging on the LM's instrument panel to use it's chronograph function for timing checkpoints. I got one as a BD gift a few days after the moon landing. It still runs like it was made yesterday. I love handguns too.

He’s a legend, I wish I could pack my brain with everything he knows about shooting…😂 I think the main thing is he doesn’t get discouraged and he knows everything is happening for a reason and then he starts breaking it down in his mind and figuring out a better way to make the pistol do what he wants it to do…💪🏼🇺🇸 When I started out shooting a pistol I tried to over think the hell out of it… You just can’t be thinking about a million things when you’re shooting a pistol with a short barrel…😂 The best bet is if you’ve figured out what you’re doing wrong, try to fix it. Try one thing at a time and eventually you’ll figure out a way to solve the problem. I told myself I was a horrible shot with a pistol when I started shooting and I didn’t let myself down, I was a horrible shot…😆 I’m still no Jerry Miculek but I’m getting better everyday. Lmao
