Good evening Dr. Ludwig! Beautiful march, composed by a Bohemian composer who arrived in a musical group of an Austrian infantry regiment, that's why it's so special. Thank you, it's a great pleasure to listen to this when I come home after a hard day ❤️❤️❤️🎼🎵🎶🎺🥁🎺🥁🎺🥁

Thank you Dr.Ludwig. This is a great surprise! I know I'm like kindergarten 👶 or mean to burn in hell 🔥😅, but it's for a good reason 😉. This march is amazing. And the picture too. The Austrian uniforms of the 19th century were really very elegant, as a fan said below 🇦🇹 Maybe it's because at that time the Viennese Court was at its peak in Europe in terms of etiquette and it also had an influence on everything, including the army. Nowadays, Austria is also very refined.

Good morning Dr.Ludwig. Last night I didn't have time to write more about this march. The title is very inspiring and very good in relation to the times we live in, it must cheer up: "Forward with fresh courage", we all need that 😀 Unfortunately, we can't find much about Wilhelm Pochmann, the Wikipedia article is written only in Dutch, but it's very concise: "Wilhelm Pochmann (Gablonz an der Neiße, July 29, 1869 - Zittau, November 9, 1947) was a Bohemian composer, music educator, military bandmaster and organist. Pochmann studied at the organ school of the "Prager State Conservatory", after 1918 Státní konservatori hudby v Praze in Prague, where he obtained his diplomas in 1888. In 1889 he became a member of the music band of the Austrian Infanterie-Regiment No. 102. From 1894 until the end of the First World War in 1918 he was bandmaster of the music band of the Infanterie-Regiment No. 74 "Freiherr von Schönaich 1860" in Liberec, then still called Reichenberg. There he also worked as a music educator and one of his students is Thomas Windisch (1914-2005). As a composer he wrote marches and dances for concert band". The fact that he wrote dances may explain why this march has an unusual rhythm compared to a classical march (without exaggerating, the rhythm is a bit like Sousa's marches, they were both contemporaries, more or less). It's a pity that we don't have more details about how he came from the Bohemia to an Austrian regiment. There are other sites where Wilhelm Pochmann is mentioned, but they don't give more information, even the Austrian and German ones. As I said so many times, the best source to point to on YT is Wikipedia, other sites or blogs are not often accepted, YT immediately deletes the links in question. The biography of Wilhelm Pochmann refers us to Thomas Windisch (1914 - 2005), another great German composer, painter, poet, pianist, architect, who studied in Reichenberg, but that's another topic. That's why I like your videos Dr. Ludwig, especially when you leave a little suspense, it makes us get into the history a little and we learn some really interesting things. We see that the history is richer than we think. I'd like to ask you, if you don't mind, putting the information about Wilhelm Pochmann in English in your presentation, it's more visible (that I just wrote in my comment). I know you'd put more, but like me and like most people, you have limited time. I wish you a very good Wednesday 😘❤️❤️❤️🇦🇹

Guten Morgen lieber Thomas.

@@Andrea-1516 Hello dear Andrea, I write to you in English, but I can also automatically translate into German, so I practice a little (my German makes my son die of laughter😄). I hope you're doing well and that you've spent a Happy Easter. Yes, Dr.Ludwig uploads very good music and what he does encourages more information. Thank you, but don't exaggerate, I like to search, because I like biographies, history and I have to help my son do his exhibitions (I'm not sure if it's the right word) in German history (he's in the German international section). I help him to look for information on a theme and then he fills it up and prepares it to expose and explain it in front of teachers and the class or often elsewhere. Dr.Ludwig's channel is viewed by many young people and it's good for them to see the articles directly. I wish you and your family a very nice Wednesday afternoon 💗💗💗🌹🌹🌹🌼🥰🥰🥰
