They absorb sweat so they keep the inside of your helmet cleaner, higher chance of keeping bugs off your face, eliminates the need for wearing Chapstick because they block more the wind, protects your hair from traction, alopecia from the helmet, keep your earrings from getting stuck when taking on and off the helmet, if I don’t have a hightail on the helmet I’m using..I use the balaclava to tuck all of my hair inside so that it stays tangle free, and I think they look cool!
