I was very young (barely a teen) during this storyline, but I remember watching it every day during the summer! I loooooved this show along with AMC and OLTL. Now, I can barely stand most of the storylines. Even seeing the AMC/OLTL commercials during this clip made me nostalgic. Thanks for posting!

I always resented loving because agnis nixions clout had ryans hope moved from its time slot..i took pleasure that lovings highest ratings never even matched ryans...that being said it has been soap lore that this murder mystry was one if the best in all of daytime..i agree ..had the show always been this calliber it would have been stellar!!

The only reason that Loving was on this long was because of Agnes Nixon. ABC had originally planned to cancel it because it was at the bottom of the ratings. It started at 11:30 a.m a death time for soaps the move barely saved it but, did cost many abc affiliates to drop Ryan'sHope at 12::00 cause thats when local news airs at that time

Off screen. Amelia Heinle reportedly gave birth in real life the same week Stephanie did on the show. It was January 1996, and we heard Stephanie over the telephone telling Tony and Ally about it. She named the baby Casey Antonia (after Casey and Tony).

I read an interview by the actress who played Trisha and she claimed that the producers wanted Trisha to be the serial killer but that he was against it saying that it would be a disservice to her character. The producer said that they had always entended it to be Gwyneth all along. If he was right, then why bring Trisha back at all?

LBF522 - The writers for LOVING brought Trisha back to use her as a red herring for viewers to only think that she was the killer because Trisha’s rejection of the Alden clan is what caused Gwyneth’s psyche to fracture, develop split personalities, and then kill off her loved ones. When the writers wrote this story, they carefully planned it to make the story convincing, compelling, and to honor the show’s past as a way to end it. After Trisha made her reappearances on the show in October 1995, she was spared and finally left tow n to be with Jeff Hartman again.

It's strange they would reunite Trisha with Jeff because I'm pretty sure I recall his unhealthy obsession with Trisha which resulted in him being sent to a mental institution. He suddenly reappears years later as if nothing has happened? Granted, Trisha was suffering from amnesia, but the other characters weren't.

I think she was also brought back to give the character something of a resolution since the show was ending? It may have been a frustrating one, but I guess it was a chance for the fans to see her one last time.

This must have been like a couple of weeks before the killer was revealled, because Jeremy was the last victim. Hard to believe that only twelve made the crossover to the City. I always wondered what might have happened if Ava and Trisha made it on that show...

Any reason why Tim Hunter didn't make the trip from Pine Valley for the funeral? He and Jeremy were brothers, after all, and Jeremy's death wasn't even mentioned on AMC.

@Robert Nieves - From what I can recall, Jeremy’s death was briefly mentioned on AMC by Myrtle Fargate and I believe Erica Kane mentioned it, too. I am not sure why Tim Dillon didn’t get to make it to Jeremy’s funeral, but he definitely should have been there. Sadly, it seems. That after Angie’s mother - Pat Baxter - crossed over to Loving in 1994, the whole AMC and Loving crossover of characters pretty much stopped. Now, I do recall that Walt Wiley at least played his Jackson Montgomery on THE CITY for a brief few episodes when he visited Angie and Sydney Chase. What I hated is that more AMC characters never got to appear on both LOVING and THE CITY in permanent capacities.

This twin brother Gilbert was actually introduced in the 2nd half of 1994 episodes, with a very classic arc of soap operas (but I did love it when watching as a child) : He kidnapped Jeremy and impersonated him (quite badly x) ) for weeks/months, before being foiled and arrested, hence his appearance here with handcuffs and police.
