I like the idea of hiding from the Almighty in the Garden of Eden. I know the Bible can be understood on the literal as well as the figurative (no pun intended) level and I think the fig leaf is the judgement we have. Pastor Rich refers to it as shame for our own sin. And what fruit does it bear? No fruit. And I see the connection between Jesus cursing the fig tree and the destruction of judgment.
